Compare and contrast the photos.

1. Summarize the content of the photographs.

Example: a) Both pictures show a busy market with people selling fruit and vegetables.

b) In both photographs we can see people travelling on holiday, but in different ways. Both ways have advantages as well as disadvantages.

c)Well, there are people doing (dangerous activities) in both pictures.

2. Compare. Speculate about what is happening in each photo pointing out some similarities (Say where you think the photos were taken, who the people are, what their relationship is, how they feel about each other, where the people are, what they are doing, what they might be talking about etc.)

3. Contrast. Speculate about what is happening in each photo pointing out some differences.

  1. Your opinion (If I had to choose, I would...; I'd rather do...; If you ask me; I prefer (using computer) to (studying from books) etc)
