SHYMBULAK

Mountain ski resort Shymbulak is situated at 2200-2500 meters in the picturesque Shymbulak Gorge. It is remarkable for its mild climate with a lot If sunny days. The average December temperature is -6.3°C.

After a snowfall, its powder is as good as anywhere else in the world. The resort has a five story hotel and cottages nearby for rent

PEAK TALGAR

Talgar peak is the highest peak. It is 4973-meter high. The first ascent of Talgar peak was performed in 1935. It also has some of the most scenic hiking. However the area is a part of the closed Almaty nature reserve and special permission is normally required to visit it. It is also the home of such animals as deer, eagles, and wild sheep.

Canyon of Charyn River

It is said that Charyn Canyon is a smaller version of the famous Grand Colorado Canyon in the US but really it has a charm of its own. The Charyn river is the left tributary of the Ili River. The Charyn river's banks are covered with different plants.

We all like to travel, but what are reasons we leave home?

One reason is for education. We travel to broaden our horizons, to learn about other places and other people.

When we are tourists we see different ways of living, different cultures. Even a short look at a different style of life is a lesson. While travelling a person can learn directly - visiting galleries, museums, etc. What do we learn seeing the British Museum, the Louver, the Tate Gallery? We get a vivid picture, a real life picture.

What is London? There is more than one answer to this question. We can say that it is one of the largest cities in the world. We can say that it is one of the world's largest ports. We can point out that it is the capital of the United Kingdom^ But all these answers do not give you the whole idea of what London is.

London does not have one centre. It is a city which arose from small towns and villages. These towns and villages became parts of Greater London ^l as it is today. Each part is a "town" now. Each is different from others. Each has its own main street or square, its own shopping centre.

The oldest part of the capital is the "City, of London" , it makes about one square mile. It is about two thousand years old. Many monuments of London's history are in the City.

London has more theatres and concert halls, more picture galleries and museums than any other city in Britain.

Over fifteen million foreign tourists visit Britain every year and almost every tourist comes to London. Visitors to London often prefer to travel by bus because they can see so much of the city from the top of a double-decker.

Do we get the same information that we could get from a book?

A tourist might read Astana is beautiful, but will he ever forget the impressions he got from seeing Baiterek?

A good reason for travelling is curiosity. Curious people learn by travelling, learning through their own experience. Besides unusual situation and adventure they can even find out some things about themselves.

There is also another reason for deciding to travel. People who have problems at home try to get away from problems. They think that travelling away from troubles they can find solutions in other faraway places. Looking for a better situation, for an improvement you must bring happiness and beauty, positive emotions with yourself.
