Тема: «New Year and Christmas»

Цель: познакомить и способствовать формированию навыка употребления лексических единиц по теме, развивать навыки поискового чтения и монологической речи, познакомить с традициями празднования Нового года и Рождества в стране изучаемого языка.

Задачи:

Образовательные:

1) введение лексических единиц по теме

2) обучение чтению с извлечением детальной информации

3) обучение краткому монологическому высказыванию по теме.

Развивающие:

1. развитие коммуникативных навыков

Воспитательные:

1. способствовать воспитанию у учащихся интереса к традициям страны изучаемого языка

1. создание ситуаций применения полученные знаний и навыков в жизненных условиях

1. Организационный момент

• Good afternoon, children! Sit down, please! How are you today? What's the weather like today? What season is it now? You are right, thank you!

2. Сообщение темы

• Look at the screen now. What can you see? Your task is to match the names of the holidays and the dates. (1 слайд) You have such papers on your desks. Let's check up! Well done!

• What is the main holiday of the year? You are right! We are going to speak about New Year and Christmas.(2 слайд)

3. Вводная часть

- I'll give the cards with new words on the topic. We'll read and translate them. (3слайд)

- Now, your task is to use these words in the sentences. Let's check up!

- You have two texts about New Year and Christmas on your desks. We will read them and then you will answer some questions. Well done!

The first holiday of the year is New Year's Day. It is celebrated all over the world. People see the new year in at midnight on the 31^st of December. They greet the new year with champagne and listen to the Kremlin chimes beating 12 o'clock. In every home there is a New Year tree glittering with coloured lights and decorations. Children always wait for Father Frost brings them gifts.

They hope that Santa Clause will fill with toys. Christmas is a family holiday. Families usually meet for the big Christmas dinner of turkey and Christmas pudding.
