-What are they speaking about in these pictures?

-Is Professor Moriarty telling Sherlock Holmes the truth? (open question)

-Before listening to the story I want to introduce with the new words.

-Sherlock Holmes is trying to solve a case. (дело)

-Sherlock Holmes has got Moriarty's statement with his alibi for the day of the crime. (преступление)

-What's the difference between these dates?

-Yes, that's right. Yesterday. (вчера)

-And today we'll talk about what they did in the past.

-What was happened yesterday?

-Let's listen to the story.

"This is what I did yesterday, Holmes. I'm telling the truth" -says Professor Moriarty

In the morning I took a taxi to Hyde Park. I sat on the grass in the park and read a magazine. I left the park at a quarter to 12 and went to Piccadilly Circus by underground. I had lunch in an Italian restaurant. In the afternoon I bought some new shoes. In the evening I saw a play. I got back to my hotel at half past 10.

-What is does it mean "full of lies"?

Cultural information

Hyde Park is a large park (142 hectares) in central London, famous for Speaker's Corner. It is a popular venue for rock concerts and appears in numerous films and novels. In the park visitors can row on the lake, watch wildlife, go rollerblading and horse riding.

Piccadilly Circus is a circular open space at a road junction in London's West End. It is a busy meeting point and a tourist attraction, famous for the statue of an archer known as Eros and the video display and neon signs on the building on the northern side.
