Урок английского языка для 9 класса

Тема урока: «Средства массовой информации. Интернет»

Необходимое оборудование:

• персональные компьютеры с выходом в Интернет;

• мультимедийный проектор;

• слайдовая презентация по теме.

Задачи урока:

1. Учить учащихся использовать Интернет-ресурсы для поиска необходимой информации и при добывании новых знаний.

2. Совершенствовать коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся, эмоциональную и эстетическую стороны в процессе обучения ИЯ.

3. Развивать компаративные и аналитические умения, логику мышления.

4. Расширять кругозор и повышать познавательный интерес учащихся к английскому языку.

Ход урока

1. Начало. Организационный момент.

2. Речевая зарядка

There once was a student named Bessor,

Whose knowledge grew lesser and lesser.

It at last grew so small,

He knew nothing at all,

And today he's a college professor!

1. Repeat after me! (Учащиеся отрабатывают произношение хором за учителем).

2. Translate the poem into Russian! (Учащиеся переводят стихотворение).

3. Your opinion, please: Can a student with small knowledge work as a college professor? Why? (Учащиеся отвечают, выражая свое мнение).

3. Основной этап.

1. Введение в тему урока. The topic of our lesson is "Mass Media. The Internet" and we'll spend it here, in the computer classroom.

2. Предтекстовый этап. How often do you use the Internet? What do you use it for? Do you think the Internet is a good way to meet people? Have you ever talked to people in a chat room on the Internet? (Учащиеся быстро отвечают на поставленные вопросы, т.к. многие из них перекликаются с вопросами из домашнего задания).

3. Работа с текстом. Read the passage "Making friends in cyber-space" and the instant message "You are chatting with Ben".

"Making friends in cyber-space"

Sally was a seventeen-year-old high school student. She lived with her parents on the outskirts of a small village in North Dakota, in the US. The winters are long and cold here, and Sally sometimes felt very isolated from the outside world. However, Sally had a computer in her bedroom. Late as night, she used to get onto the Internet, log into a chat room and join a chat group.

One night she started chatting to someone using the name 'Zandra'. But they agreed to leave the chat room and talk more privately using an instant message service called ICQ. 'Zandra' was an eighteen-year-old boy Ben from Sydney, Australia. Over the next year they e-mailed regularly, and also communicated through ICQ. Then one day Sally decided to visit Ben. Her parents were nervous about this idea. But they talked by the phone with Ben's parents and six month later two friends met face to face.

This friendship between people thousand of miles apart was possible because the Internet links computers all over the world. In a short time, it has changed how people communicate with each other, how they do business, how they get information.

Sally: Hi. :-) I'm from North Dakota. And you?

Ben: Sydney. Where's North Dakota?

Sally: South of the Canadian border. It's winter now and there's snow everywhere!

Ben: I've never seen snow. Are you still in high school?

Sally: Yeah, and I hate it.

Ben: Me too.

Sally: I want to travel one day. Do you like sport? I like basketball.

Ben: I play tennis with my dad. It's my last year at school. Hurray!!! What do you want to be?

Sally: Writer. I'll go to college. You?

Ben: Don't know…

4. Домашнее задание. Выйти на сайт study.ru/grammar. 1. Найти ссылку «Study.ru - для всех, кому нужен иностранный язык», открыть и протестировать себя - узнать свой уровень владения языком. 2. Найти ссылку «Useful English: grammar», пройти тест по любой теме из грамматики и сразу проверить свои знания.

5. Заключение. Подведение итогов работы. Оценки за урок.
