] [ORDER BY ]; SELECT - a keyword which reports DBMS that this command - request. All requests begin this word with the subsequent gap. The selection method can follow it. Here the keyword of ALL means that the resultant rowset joins all lines meeting request conditions. Means identical lines can get to a resultant set. This violation of the principles of the theory of the relations (unlike relational algebra where absence of counterparts in each resultant relation is by default supposed). The keyword of DISTINCT means that the resultant set joins only different lines, that is counterparts of lines of result don't join in a set. The list of fields is a list of the columns listed through a comma which are selected by request from tables. The character * (asterisk) means that the resultant set joins all columns from the initial tables of request. In the section FROM the list of the initial relations (tables) of request is set. If more than one name of the table is entered, implicitly it is meant that over the listed tables operation of the Cartesian product is carried out. The sections SELECT and FROM are mandatory, all other sections are optional. Note: further within examples of SQL queries will be given. For improving of perception of material and understanding of technology of writing of SQL queries students are recommended to recreate the described diagram of tables and to try everything from considered in examples requests before starting execution of laboratory operation. It is admissible to include in the section SELECT not only names of fields and *, but also and SQL language oriented functions (standard, or described in the DBMS). You can receive more detailed information about functions in help to specific DBMS. Briefly we will consider a little from the functions available in MS Access: Ucase (expression) - transfers field values "expression" to an uppercase; Mid (a line, a [length]) - returns a line from the line field, since a line item of "начало поиска" long - "length". If length isn't specified, to a line end. Round (expression [количество десятичных знаков]) - rounds up "expression" of "kоличество десятичных знаков". If the second argument isn't specified, rounds to the whole. IIF (expression, truepart, falsepart) - returns one of values: truepart if expression is true also falsepart - if is false.

Task for laboratory work No. 2
Part I Simple inquiries with parameter
1. To write inquiry for a choice of cars of a certain color. Color is set in the form of parameter in WHERE condition (for example, 'white').
Part II
Use of aggregation and subqueries 1. To define number of cars at which number of the share notice begins on "10" and does not come to an end on "39" 2. And/m to determine by each regular group, how many and/m each brand it was let out in the set year. To display names of groups and the name of brands. 3. To define what and/m this class are transferred to divisions after the specified date. To specify also number of the car and date of the document of transfer of everyone and/m.
Part III
Use of associations 1. To make selection of cars of two fields "number of a car", "car class" (to substitute the name from MENU relation). If the field "class" in the table MENU does not exist, to remove the line "The Class of Means Is Unknown" by means of the iif function.
Part IV

Task for laboratory work No. 3
Obligatory part
1. To create a database on any subject domain (it is desirable on a term paper), which has to contain at least the table consisting at least of 6 fields where surely there has to be a date field. For creation of tables DB to use the scripting file or the macro containing a set of SQL teams from part of the SDL language;
2. To realize procedures of Addition, Removal, Search and Change, by means of SQL;
3. To organize the window interface for the functions created at the previous stage (additions, removals, search and change);
4. Search has to be carried out with use of indexes, i.e. fields on which search is carried out, have to be indexed.
For creation of indexes to use CREATE INDEX. Implementation of obligatory points = 70%
Bonus (+ 15%): For receiving additional points to realize code fields in the main table and the reference book(s) for interpretation of this field (like the allauto.mdb base).
Bonus (+ 15%): To organize the authorization mechanism - an entrance to a DB according to the password for several users (article of the reference "Passwords (MDB)").
The working method Reception occurs in the presence of the issued report and the working DB created in the environment of MS Access.
Questions 1.
Into what parts they can divide the SQL language, what teams correspond?
2. What is the mechanism of blocking what the blocking mechanism is?
3. What options for creation of an index at a field in the table exist?
4. For what indexes are used?
5. How to update some fields for several trains of the table one inquiry?
6. What defines Constraint keyword?
7. What is VBA?
8. Whether it is possible to execute addition of the fields given without indication of the name to which values are added? (why it is impossible or as it is possible)
9. For what blocking is necessary, what conflict situations can arise in the absence of blocking, what ways of an exit from these situations?
10. Than blocking at the level of records differs from blocking at the level of pages?
Task for laboratory work No. 4
Obligatory part
1. It is necessary to realize the main form started automatically when opening a DB (for allauto.mdb). This form has to allow to edit data about and/m in the table AUTO: addition, removal, change of the car (or cars). At an application launch in the normal mode not to remove a database window.
2. To realize recording - the magazine of changes. Functions of kickback of changes of a DB have to be realized (such as addition, removal, record change). For this purpose to organize the special form allowing to carry out: • "Kickback back" - kickback back on one change in base (it is not active if there were no changes or all kickbacks are executed back); • "Kickback forward" - kickback forward on one change (it can be not active). Do not forget to index the table MENU. Implementation of obligatory points = 55%
Bonus (+ 15%): to provide that at emergency end of the program, there is a possibility of restoration of all chain of kickback, and only at "normal" completion of work with the program the chain of kickback is nullified (for this purpose use macroes).
Bonus (+ 30%): To realize procedure of search for the main form.
"Search" - contains the following subparagraphs (functions):
1. "Parameters" - the form, containing a list not less 3kh code fields is given (any, from the table AUTO). At a choice of any of these points the list of possible values which can accept this code field is issued (the dropping-out list of values from menu). Values can have subvalues therefore it is necessary to organize recursive (or cyclic) procedure of round of a tree of values (the dictionary of data) - i.e. for each field to remove not only its values, but also subvalue. ALL HAVE TO HAVE a CODE FIELD "BRAND of the VEHICLE". At a choice of values to bring them in a line of search, type: = of AND
2. "The line of search" - displays contents of a line of search.
3. "To clear a line of search" - nullifies a line of search.
4." To find" - search of entries in the table auto according to line of search if the line of search is empty, all records are removed. All fields which it is used for search, have to be deciphered.
The working method Reception occurs in the presence of the issued report and the working DB created in the environment of MS Access.

7. What is the WAL protocol?
Task for laboratory work No. 5 Obligatory part to Realize opportunity to look through auto base contents for the set date for one field. For this purpose to finish the program of recording (л.р.№4), having added points: 1. "Transition to the set date" - only those data in base which were actual are output to the set date (the request for input of date is output); 2. "Transition to the current date" - similar to item 1, only for the current date time. In the program 2 variables have to be declared: the current date and the set date. At start of the program the current date is asked (by default the valid current date). On the screen the current date and the set date has to be displayed (it is by default equal to the current date). Procedure of search looks for data meeting the set condition and actual for the date specified in the variable containing the set date. At kickback for the set date only viewing of base and search is available. Performance of an obligatory task = 55%
Bonus (+ 45%): To realize opportunity to look through AUTO base contents for the set date for all fields of base.
The working method Reception occurs in the presence of the issued report and the working DB created in the environment of MS Access. Questions to the 5th (final in l / р for a practical work with the MS Access environment) are made of questions to the previous laboratory works.

Task for laboratory work No. 6
1. Create A relation. For this relation define two fields: a field - number (type number) and a field - stroka_znacheniye (type a one-dimensional matrix). The table will have following structures: nomer_matritsa of stroka_znacheniye 1 '{2,4}' 1 '{-3,1}' 2 '{0}' 2 '{5}' 3 '{-2,-4}' That corresponds to matrixes, and. ⎟ ⎟ ⎠ ⎞ ⎜ ⎜ ⎝ ⎛ − = 31 24 1A ⎟ ⎟ ⎠ ⎞ ⎜ ⎜ ⎝ ⎛ = 5 0 2A () 243 −− = A 2. Create B relation containing four fields: nomer_operation (whole), nomer_pervy matrix (whole), nomer_vtory matrix (whole), nazvaniye_funktion (text). 3. Create the third relation - C which has fields: nomer_operation (whole) and field result (numeric). 4. Create functions of addition, subtraction, transposing, multiplication of matrixes which work with the matrixes defined concerning A i.e. on an entrance matrixes get a number (or matrixes - for binary operations). 5. Create function of calculation of determinant of a matrix according to its number. 6. Create the trigger, which: • at addition of a new line in B relation (with new nomerom_operation) makes calculation for this operation, having caused the corresponding function for the transferred matrixes, and writes down the received result in the relation of C in the form of a new train; • when updating a line concerning B makes recalculation, according to the new transferred parameters if recalculation is made without mistakes, updates the corresponding train concerning C; • at a choice of a line from the relation of B makes recalculation, according to the existing parameters.
The working method Reception occurs in the presence of the issued report and the working DB.
Questions
1. What does use of the %ROWTYPE attribute differs from the RECORD type?
2. What is PL/pgSQL and procedure in this language consists of what blocks?
3. What is the triggers and trigger functions?
4. How is it possible to insert data into a RECORD variable?
5. What kind of types exist in the PL/pgSQL language?
The task for laboratory work No. 8
This laboratory work is not obligatory for performance, however is necessary for receiving an assessment above "4" at examination.
It is necessary:
1. To create some relations connected in the form of hierarchy as it is shown in fig. 8.1:
the essence is the person (the student, the teacher) - the document - document Type
Figure 8.1 - Structure of object and relational communications
2. Independently to define attributes of these relations.
3. To realize hierarchy with inheritance use (l / р 6).
4. To create representation which chooses all attributes of object and its successors in one train. In cases if for some of attributes there are some values it is necessary to form a field in the following look: {' ', '', … }, where - value of attribute in i-ohm a train for object. For this purpose to write own modular function (AI) working with the types integer, text, timestamp.
5. To define general functions for removal, additions, updatings of any object to which the relation name is transferred, the filter (if it is necessary), the massif of names of fields (if it is necessary), the massif of new values of fields (if it is necessary).
6. On the basis of functions from item 5 to define for each object of a DB (except "essence") functions: to add, change, remove. In functions control of uniqueness of object has to be realized.
7. To forbid addition of SQL of inquiries given in the relations with use (i.e. not through the interface functions from point 5). For this purpose to define necessary triggers.
8. To write functions (PL/PGSQL) of a conclusion of the existing documents of the person (for example, the passport, з / to - if the student, admission No. - if the teacher). Function uses the representation created in point 4. Not to use external keys (relational communications) for binding of the relations which are in one branch of hierarchy, but to use them (if person =document= student =Document type= teacher it is necessary) for communication of objects at one level of hierarchy. Value of a potential key in basic tables should not repeat even when performing inquiry without the ONLY parameter.
9. The structure of a DB, restriction, a rule of succession, procedure, representation, and also data have to be presented in the SQL script form.
Java
Development of network applications on Java
Operation purpose
In laboratory operation No. 5 it is necessary to realize the network application using protocols of a stack of TCP/IP.
Instructions to operation
The Java language does network programming simple thanks to existence of special means and classes. We will consider some types of network applications. Internet-applications include the Web browser, e-mail, network news, a file transfer and telnet. The main used protocols - TCP and IP. Applications the client/server use the computer executing the special program - the server which provides services to other client programs. The client is the program receiving services from the server. Client server applications are based on use, first of all, of application protocols of a stack of TCP/IP, such as:
HTTP - Hypertext Transfer Protocol (WWW);
NNTP - Network News Transfer Protocol (news group);
SMTP - Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (sending of mail);
POP3 - Post Office Protocol (reading mail from the server);
FTP - File Transfer Protocol (file transfer protocol);
TELNET - Remote control of computers.
Each computer working according to protocols of a stack of TCP/IP has the unique network address. The IP address is a 32-bit number, usually writeable as four numbers separated by points each of which changes from 0 to 255. The IP address can be temporal and dynamically be selected for each connection or to be constant, as for the server. Usually in case of connection to the computer instead of the numerical IP address the symbolic names (for example - www .example.com) called by domain names are used. The special DNS program (Domain Name Sever) will transform a domain name to a numerical IP address. It is possible to receive the IP address in the program by means of object of the class InetAddress from java.net packet.
import java.net. *;
public class MyLocal {
public static void main (String [] args) {
InetAddress myIP = null;
TR {
myIP = InetAddress.getLocalHost ();
} catch (UnknownHostException e) {
System. out.println ("an access error->" + e);
}
System. out.println ("my IP->" + myIP);
}
The following program shows how to receive the IP address from a domain name by means of a name server of domains (DNS) to which the getByName method addresses ().
import java.net. *;
public class IPfromDNS {
public static void main (String [] args) {
InetAddress omgtu = null;
TR {
omgtu = InetAddress.getByName ("omgtu.ru");
}
catch (UnknownHostException e) {
System.out.println ("an access error->" + e);
}
System.out.println ("IP-the address->" + omgtu);
}
}
It will be removed: An IP address -> omgtu.ru/195.69.204.35
Sockets are network connectors via which bidirectional continuous connections between computers are carried out. The socket is defined by port number and the IP address. Thus the IP address is used for identification of the computer, port number - for identification of the process working at the computer. When one application knows a socket of another, socket connection is created. The client tries to unite to the server, initializing socket connection. The server waits until the client communicates with it. The first message sent by the client to the server contains the client's socket. The server in turn creates a socket which will be used for communication with the client, and sends it to the client with the first message. After that communication connection is set.
Socket connection with the server is created by means of object of the class Socket. Thus the IP address of the server and port number is specified (80 for HTTP). If the domain name is entered, Java will transform it by means of the DNS server to the IP address:
TR {
Socket socket = new Socket ("localhost", 8030);
} catch (IOException e) {
System. out.println ("error:" + e);
import java.net. *;
public class MyLocal {
public static void main (String [] args) {
InetAddress myIP = null;
TR {
myIP = InetAddress.getLocalHost ();
} catch (UnknownHostException e) {
System. out.println ("an access error->" + e);
}
System. out.println ("my IP->" + myIP);
}
The following program shows how to receive the IP address from a domain name by means of a name server of domains (DNS) to which the getByName method addresses ().
The server expects the message of the client and shall be launched with specifying of a certain port. The object of the class ServerSocket is created with specifying to the designer of port number and expects the message of the client by means of the accept method () which returns the client's socket:
Socket socket = null;
TR {
ServerSocket server = new ServerSocket(8030);
socket = server.accept ();
} catch (IOException e) {
System. out.println ("error:" + e);
}.
The client and the server after establishment of socket connection can obtain data from a flow of input and write data in an output stream by means of the getInputStream methods () and getOutputStream () or to PrintStream in order that the program could treat a flow as output files.
In the following example for sending to the client of a line "hi!" the server calls the getOutputStream method () the class Socket. The client obtains data from the server by means of the getInputStream method (). For uncoupling of the client and the server after operation completion the socket is closed by means of the close method () the class Socket. In this example the server sends to the client a line "hi!", then terminates communication.
//transmission to the client of a line: MyServerSocket. java
import java.io. *;
import java.net. *;
public class MyServerSocket {
public static void main (String [] args) throws Exception {
Socket s = null;
TR {//sending of a line to the client
ServerSocket server = new ServerSocket(8030);
s = server.accept ();
PrintStream ps = (s.getOutputStream) new PrintStream;
ps.println ("hi!");
ps.flush ();
s.close ();//rupture of connection
} catch (IOException e) {
System. out.println ("error:" + e);
}
}
}
/* receiving line by the client: MyClientSocket. java */
import java.io. *;
import java.net. *;
public class MyClientSocket {
public static void main (String [] args) {
Socket socket = null;
TR {//receiving line by the client
socket = new Socket ("name _ computer", 8030);
BufferedReader dis = new BufferedReader (new InputStreamReader (
socket.getInputStream ()));
String msg = dis.readLine ();
System.out.println(msg);
} catch (IOException e) {
System. out.println ("error:" + e);
}
}
}
Similar to the client can send data to the server through an output stream by means of the getOutputStream method (), and the server can obtain data with the help of the getInputStream method ().
If it is necessary to test a similar example on one computer, it is possible to appear at the same time in client roles and servers, using the static getLocalHost methods () the class InetAddress for receiving a dynamic IP address of the computer which is selected in case of an input in Internet.
Jobs to laboratory operation

TO BE
I
am - я есть
was
shall / will
You
are - он есть
were
Will
He, she, it
was
Will
We
were
shall / will
You
are - мы есть
were
Will
They
are - они есть
were
Will
-
I am 45 - Мне 45 (Я есть 45)
-
I am from Moscow -
-
I am = I'm
-
He is = He's
-
They are = They're
-
He is not = He isn't
-
We are not = We aren't
Чтобы задать вопрос необходимо поменять местами подлежащее he и вспомогательный глагол is (to be).
Для закрепления форм глагола to be в разных лицах и временах проспрягаем предложение "I am strong":

Modal Verbs

Модальный глагол must, эквиваленты to have (to), to be obliged (to), to be (to), а также многофункциональный глагол will выражают сильную форму долженствования.
You must come up to the reception in order to join a library.
I must get my hair cut.
Books must be returned on or before the due date.
I can't play tennis tomorrow. I have to go to the dentist.
Children have to go to school until they are sixteen.
Mum says you have to tidy your room before you go out.
You must tidy your room before you go out.
Mum says you must tidy your room before you go out. Must - личный модальный глагол; когда чья-то личная речь передаётся в косвенной форме, он заменяется на to have (to)/to have got (to).
Несколько примеров для сравнения must и to have (to)/to have got (to) :
I must stop smoking.
I've got to stop smoking.
Намного чаще употребляется to have (to):
Must you buy these shabby jeans?
Do you have to wear a tie at work?
Отрицательные формы must not и do not have (to) существенно отличаются.
You must not leave bicycles in front of the portal.
Passengers must not speak to the driver!
You mustn't steal other people's things. It's wrong!
Some people iron their socks, but you don't have to. I think it's a waste of time.
When you go into a shop, you don't have to buy something. You can just look.
To be obliged (to) так же является эквивалентом модального глагола долженствования, но употребляется намного реже, чем to have (to).
"The Constitution does not oblige government to avoid any public acknowledgment of religion's role in society," Anthony Kennedy said in his opinion.
I am obliged to you for your gracious hospitality.
The train is to arrive. Why is it still at the station?
Should и ought (to) выражают слабое долженствование или совет.
You're always asking me for money. I think you should spend less.
You ought to be more careful with your money.
You shouldn't sit so close to the TV! It's bad for your eyes.
You ought to visit your grandmother.
You ought to help me!
You will do as you've been told.
The crew will come forward at midnight!
Can, could, may, might, to be allowed (to)
- Can I ask you a question?
- Yes, of course you can.
I'm sorry, you can't come in here.
Could you do me a favour?
May I come in, sir?
Can и could (но не may) используются в разговорах о том, что обычно позволено.
Can you park in this street in Sundays?
Эквивалент to be allowed (to) заменяет may в прошедшем и будущем временах, используется как инфинитив и причастие и не имеет существенного различия в значении с модальным глаголом may.
You'll be allowed to go out.
Austin said you might take his diary.
I was allowed to take the diary.
Способность или возможность совершения какого-либо действия выражается при помощи модального глагола can, его эквивалента to be able (to) и выражения managed (to).
To be able (to) означает то же, что и can, но can употребляется намного чаще. To be able (to) более официален.
Can you come to a meeting next week?
Please inform us if you are able to attend a meeting next week.
To be able to имеет временны?
I'd love to be able to fly.
I like being able to jollify if I want.
I've never been able to cook.
She'll be able to see you tomorrow.
I could swim when I was four.
А для выражения единоразового действия в определённой ситуации в прошлом используетсяto be able (to) или выражение managed (to).
The woman was drowing, but a lifeguard managed to swim to her and pull her out of the water.
The prisoners were able to escape by bribing the guards.
When we came into the building, I could smell something burning.
We could remember where I lost my passport.
My mother couldn't swim until she was 47.
I couldn't find my wallet anywhere.
I can see you tomorrow morning for half an hour.
One day we will be able to live without wars.
Shall I/we ... ?
Shall I carry your bag?
What shall I do?
Shall we dance?
Shall we go to the seaside or the mountains?
Следующие модальные глаголы расположены в порядке "угасания" степени вероятности, которую они выражают: must, will (would) could, may, might, can't.
must (≈99%) | could(≈80%) | may(≈50%) | might (≈20%) | can't (≈1%)
Must и can't используются для выражения логического заключения: must - логически возможно и can't - логически невозможно.
Martin must have some problems - he is kind of sullen.
There's the doorbell. It must be Rodger. He always comes home at this time.
Suzie can't have a ten-year-old daughter! She's only twenty-five herself!
You can't be serious. I know you are joking.
Could, may и might обычно акцентированы в речи.
Dave and Lucy aren't at home. They could be in the theatre, I suppose.
We may go to Greece for our holidays. We haven't decided yet.
She may be at home.
Ann might be there too.
According to the radio, it may rain today (≈50%). It might even snow (≈20%).
His light's on. He must be working late.
It's only 8:10. They can't be having a break yet.
They could have moved house.
Robert must have gone out.
She passed me in the street without speaking: she can't have seen me.
I rang Helen but she didn't reply, so I suppose she may have been in the bath.
Перечисленные must, could, may, might, can't с лихвой выражают все возможные способы указания вероятности и подходят практически для всех жизненных ситуаций. Но несмотря на это, вероятность также могут выражать: should, ought (to), will, would и need.
Should и ought (to) выражают предположение, основанное на фактах.
They should all be of equal speed.
It ought not to be very hard to get the village.
We heard the phone call. "That would be Charles", I said, knowing I was right.
That will be the postman, I expect.
It needn′t take you very long.
I will do it whether you like it or not.
I will answer you as soon as I can.
I will let you know!
I would tell you, I swear!
would rather предпочтительнее, пожалуй
would better лучше
would sooner скорее
I'd rather go for a walk.
I'd better pay more at once instead of paying every week.
She'd sooner break up with me then apologize to me.
I won't come back here again.
She won't go to the cafe.
I wouldn't lend him even a pence.
I invited Eric several times, but he wouldn't come.
The window won't open.
The car wouldn'r start.
The pen won't write.
Will you have some more juice?
Will you give him this package?
Will you wait a few?
Более вежливый would:
Would you show me that vest?
Would you help me?
Would you mind ...
Would you like ...
Would you be so kind as to ...
Would you mind clothing the door?
Would you like to take a walk?
Would you be so kind as to remove your finger from the pie?
You needn't lie to me.
You don't need to lie to me.
THERE IS \THERE ARE
Для этих целей используются обороты there is и there are.
There is one chair in the room. -
There are some chairs in the room. -
Сам оборот there is/ thre are принято ставить в начале предложения.
There is a knife on the table. -
There are five balls in the box. -
Порядок утвердительных предложений следующий: Подлежащее (There) - Сказуемое (to be) - Дополнение (Object) - Обстоятельство (Adverbial modifier).
Часто в предложениях с оборотом there is/ there are в дополнении используются числительные, артикли или неопределённые местоимения.Например:
There is a cup of tea on the table. -
There is one stove in the kitchen. -
There is some furniture in the hall. -
There are six couples in the game. -
There are some houses nearby. -
Отрицательные предложения с оборотом there is/ there are образуются путём добавления отрицательной частицы "not" к глаголу to be. В итоге получаются отрицательные обороты there is not/ there are not, которые могут сокращаться до форм there isn't/ there aren't.
There isn't a door in this room. -
There isn't any milk in the fridge. -
There aren't any people at the store. -
Во многих предложениях с оборотом there is/ there are также часто употребляется слово "no" (нет) для придания предложению отрицательной окраски.
There is no ham on this sandwich. -
There are no palyers in this team. -
Для создания вопросов с оборотом there is/ there are достаточно применить инверсию, т.е.
Is there one TV in the bedroom? - Yes, there is. -No, there isn't. -
Is there any sugar in the tea? -Yes, there is. -No, there isn't. -
Are there any windows in the castle? -Yes, there are. -No, there aren't. -
С оборотами there is/ there are можно также строить специальные вопросы с вопросительным словами who? what? why? и т.д.
What is there in your bag? -
Why are there so many policemen in the bank? -
Who is there in your car? -
How many students are there in the classroom? -
There is /ðзəiz/ a leather jacket in the car.
There are /ðзəa:/ some bird feathers on the hat.
There isn't /ðзəiznt/ any water in the kitchen.
There aren't /ðзəa:nt/ any toothbrushes in the bathroom.
Is there /izðзə:/ a book on the table?
Are there /a:ðзə:/any glasses in the cupboard?
3. Оборот there is/ there are также употребляется в прошедшем времени. Так как основным глаголом в обороте является глагол to be, то в прошедшем времени оборотом единственного числа является - there was, а оборотом множественного числа - there were.
There was a supermarket in this area of the city. -
There were some interesting pistures in the gallery. -
There wasn't a computer in the study. -
There weren't any horses in the village. -
Was there any food in the fridge? -
Were there any Italian restaurants in the city? -
4. Обороты there is/ there are часто встречаются в английских пословицах и поговорках .
There are none so blind as those that will not see.
There's more than one way to skin a cat. -
