Our new grammar is numerals.

Numerals

Numerals in English is divided into Cardinal Numerals (есептік сан есім) and Ordinal Numerals (реттік сан есім). And questions are: How many? Which?

Cardinal Numerals

1. From 13 till 19 formed with the suffix -teen. For example: four - fourteen, From 13 till 19 numerals have 2 syllables 17 [,sevn'ti:n]

2. Same numerals have a little differences in pronunciation and in written. For example: 13, 15, 18 three - thirteen, five - fifteen, eight - eighteen. Numerals from 20 till 90 is formed with suffix -ty. For example: six - sixty.

3. Between twenty-one we put "-" a dash.

4. Between hundreds we write "and". For example: 358 - three hundred and fifty-eight.

5. "hundred', "thousand", "million" do not have a suffix -s. For example: Two hundred books.

6. Numerals have a dot between them. For example: 7.250 - seven thousand two hundred and fifty. 1.380.000 - a million three hundred and eighty thousand.

Ordinal Numerals

All the ordinal numerals besides first, second, third formed with the suffix -th.

Cardinal and Ordinal Numerals in Dates

1. Years: 1992 - nineteen ninety-two

1853 - eighteen fifty-three

2) Dates: January 2 - The second of January

3) Telephone number: 35-95-55 three, five, nine, five, double five

35-62-48 - three, five, six, two, four, eight
