Тема : «Time»

Цель: Научить употреблять новые структуры : It`s seven o`clock. It`s half past seven.

Задачи: Развитие коммуникативных, регулятивных, личностных и познавательных УУД;

Развитие навыков устной речи по теме с опорой на ранее изученную лексику, работы в парах;

Воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре страны изучаемого языка.

Оборудование: лингафон, доска, презентация, карточки с изображением часов.

1. Aim formation.

T : Listen to the poem and guess what we are going to speak about at the lesson.

Poem "Tick- tock"

"Tick-tock, tick-tock,

Little Dino, play and walk!

What`s the time?

It`s nine o`clock."

P1:- about time.

T:- That`s right! We are going to speak about time.

Ex. 1 p. 103.

T: How can we know the time?

P2: By the watch or clock.

T:And now in pairs look at the rule in ex.1 and try to explain it in Russian.

What do we ask when we want to know the time?

Pair1: What`s the time?

T: What do these words mean: It`s seven o`clock. It`s half past seven?

Pairs give the answers.

T: When do we use "o`clock"? Pair3: when we speak about an hour without min.

T: what is "Half"? Pair 4: half= 30 min; past- after

2. Trying new structure in practice.

T: look at the presentation ,at the rule in your textbooks and say, what`s the time?

Pair work.

T: In pairs look at the cards and say, what`s the time? Ex: It`s two o`clock. It`s half past four.

And now make up a short dialogue using the time you`ve got on your cards.

Ex: - What`s the time?

• It`s nine o`clock. And so on.

3. Dino`s day. Speaking about Dino`s day using a new structure.

Ex. 2 p. 103. T-CL\p1 p2 ; p1= p2

1. Pair work.

Look at the words in the box, read and translate them. Now, look at the pictures on the presentation, call them in English.

2. Make up the task by example. (Look at the pictures, time, phrases and say what Dino do at this time).

Ex: It`s seven o`clock Dino! It`s time to get up.

P.E. "Head and shoulders"

Look at the pictures of time, phrases, and say what you do at this time.

Presentation: I get up at 7 o`clock.

P1: I have breakfast at half past 7. P2: I go to school at 8 o`clock.

T: Very good children.

5. Reading "Dino`s day" Ex.4 p.104

T: In pairs look and say the time on the clock. Read the text and say the time in English.

6. In pairs find the sentences for each picture and read them. Ex. 5 p.104

7 Self evaluation.

T: What have you learnt at the lesson?

P1: How to say time in English. Ex. It`s 5 o`clock. It`s half past two.
