P1: Dear ladies and gentlemen, our teachers and guests! Welcome to our English party "Your majesty, the English language".

P2: Today we want to show how we speak English, recite poems, sing songs and dance.

P1: Уважаемые учителя и учащиеся школы. Мы приглашаем вас на наше небольшое мероприятие, которое называется «Ваше величество, Английский язык».

Р2: Сегодня мы хотим вам показать, как мы можем говорить и петь на английском языке, читать наизусть стихотворения и танцевать.

P1: From the beginning of our learning English, we begin from the alphabet. Now, the third-form pupils will show you a little play about letters and the second-form pupils will sing a song "The ABC".

(Девочка с прикрепленной буквой I появляется на сцене и плачет, кого-то ищет. На сцену выходит фея)

Fairy: Oh, my little child! Good afternoon!

Girl: Good afternoon, dear Fairy.

Fairy: Why are you crying, poor child?

Fairy: I'll help you. Don't cry. (вытирает ей слезы)

(В это время выбегают дети с прикрепленными буквами - A, B, C, D, F, G, M, N, S, U. Они подбегают к девочке. Фея обращается к девочке)

Fairy: Are you happy?

Girl: Yes, I am happy. This is my family.

Fairy: Who are you, letters A, B, C, F, G, M, N, S, U?

Letter M: I am mother. M stands for mother.

Letter F: F stands for father.

Letter В: В stands for brother.

Letter S: S stands for sister.

Letter C: C stands for cousin.

Letter A: A stands for aunt.

Letter U: U stands for uncle.

Letter G: G stands for granny.

Fairy: It's terrific. (она огромная)

Girl: This is my family. (Называет буквы.) Thank you, dear Fairy.

P2: We continue our party.

Every country celebrates many holidays with its own traditions and customs. In Great Britain people celebrate New Year, Christmas, St. Valentine's Day, April Fool's Day, Mother's and Father's Days, Halloween and others.

In all English speaking countries, the 14-th of February young men and women declare their feelings for each other.

P1: Во всех англоговорящих странах 14 февраля - праздник всех влюбленных. День св. Валентина очень популярный в Великобритании. В этот день юноши и девушки посылают друг другу валентинки. Св. Валентин - покровитель всех влюбленных.

Р2: The 14-th of February was believed as the day when birds choose their mates. It become a tradition for helpful to send each other gifts. Partly the idea was that young ladies could send cards to young gentlemen hinting that a proposal of marriage might not be unsuccessful.

P1: We all go to school. Some of us like to go to school, but some pupils don't like. Now 5-th form pupils show you a play "Antoshka goes to school". All of you know that Antoshka likes nothing to do.

P1: English and American people like music very much. For example, any large city in the United States can provide musical choices to satisfy every taste. They are jazz, pop, and rock bands, blues, rock'n'roll, hard rock, rap, reggae, disco, opera, folk, country and grass music, and music theatre.

Our girls dance rock'n'roll for you. Meet them!

P2: Britain is mostly known for its pop performers, and has provided some of the world's most famous rock bands including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Pink Floyd, and Radiohead.

P1: We like to read English, speak English, and recite poems. We are fond of learning English. That is spoken everywhere.

Мы английским овладеть все хотели, Так хотели, так хотели. И в английский класс попасть мы сумели, Мы сумели в самом деле. Начались уроки, на спектакль похожие, И на «инглише» теперь все «спикать» можем мы. "I love you" and "You love me" - предложение. "I love Kharkiv and Ukraine" - сочинение.

Только звуки все дались нам не сразу, Ох, не сразу, нет, не сразу. Повторять пришлось нам всем не по разу: "Mother, Father, Sister, Brother". Наши знанья поражают всех родителей. Приглашаем вас: «Поспикать не хотите ли?» И на встречах наших, будьте уж уверены, Смогут нас понять ребята из Америки.

Так давайте распевать будем вместе, English песни, наши песни. И пойдут по всей земле о нас вести. Жить с английским интересней!
