Задание 1.

Ropey-play. Your friend wants to buy a pocket video camera. He asks your advice. Tell him about advantages and disadvantages of using it, using the words and words combinations from the box. Act the interview out. Then discuss your ideas with the rest of the class.

2. Ropey-play (argument). You had bought a digital camera which broke. You are calling to the customer service. Tell the service manager about:

- the purpose of your calling;

- when / where / how you had bought it;

- ask them to repair it or sent you a new one.

You want to treat your best friend to surprise meal at a foreign restaurant.

Your friend doesn't like spicy food and prefers meat to fish.

You have 50 to spend for both of you.

Your neighbour has resently tried two new restaurants in your area.

Talk to your neighbour to get further information.

Ask your neighbour about:

- the type of food served

- the atmosphere and decor

- the cost

Remember to:

• be active and polite

• -ask the questions and find out all the information you need

• - decide on the restaurant you will go to and give reasons for your choice

Задание 4. The Queue. Очередь.

Цель: развитие навыков спонтанной речи через ролевую ситуацию, многократное повторение одного и того же рассказа способствует совершенствованию навыков монологической речи. Подключение мимики и жестикуляции (развитие компенсаторной компетенции).

Учащиеся встают в очередь по 5-6 человек. Учебная ситуация: это очередь в кассу железнодорожного вокзала. Последний должен уговорить всех, стоящих впереди, пропустить его без очереди, назвав вескую причину для этого. Можно усложнить задачу, распределить роли в очереди: доброжелательный человек, упрямый человек, читающий газету, говорящий по телефону, иностранец, плохо владеющий английским языком и т.д.
