Цели урока:

Познавательный аспект :

1. Понимание отношений между различными субкультурами.

2. Знакомство с реалиями и понятиями молодежных субкультур.

3. Знакомство с эволюцией субкультур.

Развивающий аспект:

1. Развитие способности к сравнению, умению анализировать, обобщать, делать выводы.

Воспитательный аспект:

1. Формирование терпимого отношения и уважения мнения другого человека.

2. Формирование самостоятельности.

Учебный аспект:

1. Развитие речевых умений по всем видам речевой деятельности.

2. Совершенствование лексических навыков чтения.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент. Warming up.

Teacher: Today we are going to speak about things which are very familiar and interesting for you. We'll discuss pros and cons of different subcultures. You know that a lot of people belong to different subcultures. What is a subculture?

Pupil 1: A subculture is a group of people within a complex culture who have interests that are different from those of the mainstream culture.

Pupil 2: I think that a subculture is a group with a distinct style and identity. Different subcultures have their own beliefs, value systems, fashion, and favourite music.

Teacher: You said that different subcultures have their own beliefs, value systems, fashion, and favourite music. So what are the 3 main features of any subculture?

Pupil: Image, ideas, music.

Teacher: We have already learned about all these features. Today we'll pay plenty of time to learn and speak about different subcultures. We'll review and summarize everything you know about it.

2. Phonetic drill

Teacher: We have been speaking about different subcultures for a long time. You know much about them. But you can learn much more. Watch material on the site "Teenagers' subcultures" which was made by your classmates and fill in the table which you have on your tables. When we began working on this unit you filled such table. But now complete it with the new facts. It will help you to make your projects about your ideal subculture.

-Why do you think people belong to different subcultures? Try to answer this question using the expressions from the blackboard.

Teacher: You see there are a lot of different attitudes towards the members of some subcultures. People like or dislike them, agree or disagree with their ideas. What do you think about an ideal subculture? Can it exist? If yes, what should it be like? At home you have to make a project "A subculture I'd like to create" (ex. 2, p.94)

7. Рефлексия. Заключительный этап урока

Teacher: Subcultures are not that bad as they are thought to be. Teens want to show off. But at the same time a lot of teens think about changing the world to the best. Subcultures are for teens. Then, I am sure, teenagers become good citizens. Some who were punks became the main editors of famous newspapers. A subculture is a way of life. It is not a fan club, it is a real life for us. And before you'll say if it is good or bad, remember that some famous people belonged to different subcultures when they were young . For example, Bill Clinton, the American ex-president. Do a crossword puzzle and you'll learn the subculture Bill Clinton belonged to in his youth. Work in groups. Who will be the first?

Пояснительная записка

по использованию учебного сайта «Teenagers' subcultures»

Согласно учебному плану в курсе 10 класса 3 раздел посвящен работе над темой «Молодежные субкультуры». Эта тема очень близка и понятна подросткам. Они интересуются всем, что связано с возникновением, развитием и существованием в современном мире молодежных группировок. В связи с этим я решила подготовить для них сайт «Teenagers' subcultures». Материал этого сайта может использоваться на различных этапах работы над темой:

1. На этапе работы с новой лексикой по теме - страница Vocabulary, где приводятся примеры употребления новой лексики.

2. На этапе знакомства с отличительными чертами некоторых субкультур - страницы Emo, Punks, Hippies, Goths, Skinheads.

3. На обобщающем этапе - дополнительные страницы.

Я планирую использование учебного сайта на обобщающем уроке, когда идет подготовка к созданию проекта «Как ты представляешь идеальную субкультуру?»

Работа с сайтом начинается после речевой зарядки и повторительных упражнений с лексикой. Эта работа занимает центральное место в ходе урока. Учебный сайт заранее загружается на компьютеры, ярлык размещен на рабочем столе. Во время урока учитель дает указание открыть сайт и начать работу. Поскольку основной целью работы с сайтом является чтение с извлечением конкретной информации для заполнения таблицы, во время работы учащихся учитель не отвлекает их вопросами.

Вопросы по содержанию задаются по окончании работы.
