The theme of the lesson: I think it`s beautiful.

The aim of the lesson: Playing the game to introduce pupils with new words, asking questions to check their knowledge.

Presentation of the question: Where do you live?

To develop geographical skills of pupils and interest to English language.

Equipments: cards, placard, photos of the sightseeing of Britain and their history, picture of the witch and double- Decker bus, placard of new vocabulary.

Procedure of the lesson:

I. Organization moment.

3. Talking about the weather, date, day.

II. Checking up home task

III. Learning new theme.

Speaking of the teacher:

• Ok, pupils at first listen to me. Today`s our new theme is "I think it`s beautiful". Let`s translate. You are right, "Я думаю что это красиво". Now, look at the black board, I think it`s beautiful picture. I think it`s beautiful nature. I think Taras Shevchenko`s picture is beautiful etc.

• Now answer my questions:

• Because it`s beautiful. То есть мы можем использовать эту фразу в любых ситуациях.

• Now, let`s play the game "Travelling to Britain". What must we know for the travelling?

• You are right, English language!

• Я проверю, хорошо ли вы знаете Английский язык, когда мы совершим путешествие тогда вы ознакомитесь со достопримечательностями в Великобритании. Мы будем совершать путешествие на двух этажном автобусе Англии. Переводится "Double-decker bus". Но злая ведьма не хочет что бы много знали и поэтому она набросала на дорого камни- препятствия. На каждом камушке написаны слова.

• Если хотите убрать камушки с дороги, то вы должны переводить слова на русский или на английский язык. Тогда камень повернется, а под камнем написан вопрос. Ответив на эти вопросы вы сможете убрать камень с дороги и двигаться дальше.

IV. Vocabulary work.

• Посмотрите на эту картину, мы находимся в прекрасном месте. Здесь очень красиво, но нам нужно вернутся обратно. Что бы вернутся обратно, нам нужно соорентироватся на место. Для этого нам что понадобится?

• Правильно, компас. На английском языке будет compass. Вот компас (показываю).

• Что показывает компас?

• Правильно , стороны света.

• Назовите эти стороны?

• Север, юг, восток, запад.

• Теперь послушайте, как это будет на английском языке.

North [noӨ]- север

West [west]- запад

East [i:st]-восток

South [sauӨ]- юг (показываю по слайду)

• Now, look at this picture and answer my questions, please.

• What do you see on the north? (mountain [mauntin]-гора)

• What do you see on the east? (lake [leik]-озеро)

• What do you see on the north? (road [roud]-дорога)

• What do you see on the centre? (river[rivә]- река)

• Take your home task for the next time. Exercise 15. Draw the picture of your fantasy island and describe it. To learn by heart new words.
