Урок по теме:
«Здоровый образ жизни»

(How to Keep Fit?)

Задачи:

Обучающие:


  • активировать изученную лексику по теме "Здоровый образ жизни";

  • развивать у учащихся умение творчески использовать усвоенный материал в новых ситуациях общения;

  • формировать навыки чтения с общим охватом содержания;

  • формировать умение говорить на основе прочитанного;

  • совершенствовать навыки диалогической речи.

Развивающие:

  • развивать коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся;

  • развивать способность высказываться логично и связно;

  • развивать умение анализировать и высказывать своё мнение;

  • развивать умение работать в группах.

Воспитательные:

  • воспитывать здоровые привычки;

  • показать учащимся важность здорового образа жизни.

Оборудование:

  • Раздаточный материал (карточки);

  • Мультимедиапрезентация «Спорт в Великобритании».



ХОД УРОКА

I. Организационный момент. Приветствие.

Тeacher: Good morning, boys and girls. I am very glad to see you. Are you ready for the lesson? It's wonderful. Is anybody absent today? And how are you this morning? And you?

Is anybody absent today?

So, you are fine today, you are ready for the lesson, let's begin it.

II. Цель урока.

Тeacher: Today we have a lot of work to do. The aim of our today's lesson is to develop your speaking skills on the very important problem "How to Keep Fit?"(Учитель записывает тему урока на доске). You know some people live long lives and feel really well. Some people suffer from all illnesses imaginable. What does our health depend on? What helps a person to keep fit? Today at the lesson we are to answer these questions and to make up a spider gram "How to Keep Fit?"

III. Речевая зарядка.

Тeacher: You know there are a lot of proverbs and sayings on this topic. Look at the blackboard, read the sayings and explain how you understand them.

  1. Early to bed and early to rise makes people healthy, wealthy and wise.

Примерные ответы учащихся: If you want to be healthy you should get up and go to bed at the same time and have enough sleep, sleeping too much or too little is quite dangerous for our health. Besides, going to bed late will make us nervous.

  1. Health is above wealth.

Примерные ответы учащихся: It means that nothing is more important for people than health. When you loose it you can't buy it for money.)

  1. An apple a day keeps the doctors away.

Примерные ответы учащихся: It means that fruits and vegetables will help us to be healthy, because they are rich in vitamins and minerals. And we must get enough vitamins and minerals to develop a healthy body. Furthermore we must eat low fat food, because high fat food can lead us to many deceases, such as obesity, heart decease etc. So, we are what we eat.

IV. Работа в группах. Дискуссия "What does people more good: healthy food or tasty food?"

Тeacher: Some people think that healthy food is not very important. Are you of the same opinion?

Do you like tasty food - chocolate, sweets?

Let's divide into two groups to discuss the matter. One group is for healthy food, the other is for tasty food. Each group gets a sheet of paper and pictures of food. Write down your arguments. In 4 minutes you will express and prove your ideas.

Your time is up. Who is responsible for answering in your group?

(Учитель проводит дискуссию. Сначала выступают представители каждой группы, высказывая аргументы за здоровую или вкусную еду соответственно, затем в обсуждении могут принять участие все учащиеся. Учитель направляет дискуссию таким образом, чтобы учащиеся пришли к выводу о необходимости сбалансированного питания.)

Teacher: Let's sum up our discussion. What is it important to do to stay healthy?

P1: It is important to keep to a balanced diet.

(Учитель начинает заполнять диаграмму "How to Keep Fit?")

Teacher: What is more useful for people healthy food or tasty food?

P2: Healthy food

Teacher: Let's add it to our spider gram. Of course, people can eat hot dogs, hamburgers, pitsa, drink cola. But these foods do people no good. The English people call them junk food. (Неполноценная eда).

V. Работа над чтением.

Teacher: Is it necessary for you, teenagers to keep fit? Why or why not?

Примерные ответы учащихся: In my opinion it is necessary to take a good care of health at our age, because our organism is constantly growing. If we are healthy, we have a good memory, we study better, we look fine and we are active in our every day life.

In our text books 3 teenagers tell us what they do to keep fit. Open your books at page 44, exercise 14. Read and say how each of them keeps fit.

Let's add these activities to our spider gram.

VI. Совершенствование навыков диалогической речи.

Teacher: Would you like to know what your classmates do to keep fit? Then work in pairs. Act out a conversation with your classmates to find out:

  • if s/he takes part in any of these activities;

  • what things s/he does for exercise;

  • why s/he thinks it is important to keep fit.

You have 3 minutes.

Перед прослушиванием диалогов класс получает задание: Т: Your time is up. ... you are the first. You, pupils, listen to them very attentively and be ready to tell me what each of them does to keep fit.

VII. Презентация «Спорт в Великобритании»

Teacher: Look at our spider gram. You see that sports and games are very important for our physical fitness. Kostya and Nastay will tell us about the most popular kinds of sports in Britain. They will do it with the help of the computer.

You, pupils, listen to them very attentively in order to do a test. Besides, I want you to comment on their work according to the following criteria:


  • contents;

  • illustrations;

  • the way of presenting.

Работа оценивается по пятибалльной системе. Каждый ученик получает следующую таблицу.

VII. Questionnaire: Do I Have a Healthy Lifestyle?

We have been discussing the ways of being fit and healthy for a long time. Does our health depend on our style of life? Let's see if you have a healthy life style. I'll give you a questionnaire. Simply answer "yes" or "no" to each question and add up your answers to find out if you have a healthy lifestyle.

Questionnaire

1. Do you sleep for about eight hours per night?
2. Do you go to sleep easily and sleep through the night?
3. Do you eat at least five fruits and vegetables each day?
4. Do you limit the amount of sugar and salt in your diet?
5. Do you stay away from cigarettes and other tobacco products?
6. Do you avoid alcohol and drugs?
7. Do you get at least thirty minutes of exercise or activity each day?
8. Do you brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day?
9. Do you see a dentist regularly?

10. Do you consult your GP1 if you feel something is wrong?
11. Do you usually feel that you can manage all of the tasks required of you in a given day?

12. Do you have family and friends ready to help and support you if needed?

If you answered "yes" to between one and four questions then you have a lot of room for improvement in your lifestyle. Look at the pattern of your answers to find out where you are not concentrating on good health. If you feel unable to make changes yourself, ask an adult or professional to help you.

Visit your local library for more information, or scour the Internet for sites that you trust and implement some of their tips. But make changes soon, before your unhealthy lifestyle has any lasting consequences.

If you answered "yes" to between five and eight questions then you have a fairly healthy lifestyle. However, you can never take your good health too seriously. Try to target a few areas in which you can improve and think up a few easy changes that you can make in your daily life. It may be as easy as going to bed an hour earlier or switching from candy to fruit as your afternoon snack. Whatever it is, dedicate yourself to making changes and celebrate when you do!

If you answered "yes" to nine or more of these questions then you have a healthy lifestyle. For optimal health, work on any topic to which you answered "no". Lucky for you there does not seem to be many areas on which to concentrate. But while you obviously take care of yourself well, for the brightest future you must look after all areas of your physical and emotional health. If you find that you are unable to identify areas of change yourself, consider asking a trusted adult or a health professional for guidance.

VIII. Подведение итогов урока.

Teacher: Our lesson is coming to the end. We have discussed a very serious problem: how to keep fit. Your homework is to write an article to the school news paper on this theme. You are to give some advice to your schoolmates what to do to be healthy.

You've worked hard today. Well done.
