Theme: How many stamps have you got?

Aims: 1. Develop pupils' abilities to speak about things they have.

2. To provide the developing of pupils' dialogical speech.

3. To help pupils to develop their skills to communicate.

Plan of the lesson:


1. Beginning of the lesson: (Homework Ex. 17 p.40 - 42 )

Warming up: solving the crossword "School accessories".

T. Find 10 words, pictures can help you. (Children do the crossword then check).

2. Speaking exercise:

Have / has are they the same? When we use them?

T. (Shows different things and asks questions). I have a pen. Have you a pen? Yes, I have. (No, I haven't).

Has Arina a pen? Yes, she has. (No, she hasn't). etc.

3. Presenting the theme:

T. I have some books. Count them, please. How many books have I got? etc.

The theme of our lesson is "How many stamps have you got?"

Let's work with the table on p. 50. Work with the words in the table.

One of you is Colin and other is Omar ask questions to each other.

T. Let's speak about things you have. Example: I have a shell, two books, a bag, five colored pencils and an exercise-book.

Now it's your turn to say what you have got. Children say what they have and write their sentences in their exercise-books.)

4. Doing exercises:

Complete the sentences with have or has.

1. They … got an English class today.

2. We … got some English books at home.

3. He … got a lot of friends.

4. Mother … made a cake.

5. Paul and Mary … got two children, a boy and a girl.

6. A dog … four legs.

7. I … not got a camera.

8. … your father got a car?

9. Mrs. Brown … got a nice house.

10. … you got any brothers or sisters?

5. Homework: Read the dialogue on p. 51

6. Reflexion: Children say what they have known from the lesson.
