Урок английского языка по теме: « The main cities of Russia».

Цель урока: обобщить изученный материал по теме « Исторические и культурные ценности Москвы и Санкт- Петербурга».

Задачи: тренировать навыки говорения; развивать аудитивные и лексические навыки по теме « Достопримечательности Москвы и Санкт - Петербурга»; развивать внимание и логическое мышление; воспитывать чувство патриотизма к своей Родине.

Оснащение урока: электронная презентация; ноутбук; проектор; тексты для чтения.

Ход урока

  1. Оргмомент.

Good morning, children! Sit down. What is the date today? What day is it today? Who is absent? I'm happy to see you. Let's start our lesson. We' re going to talk about the main cities of Russia today.



  1. Фонзарядка. ( Слайд 2)

1.Чтение стихотворения учителем, перевод уч-ся, а затем чтение стих-я уч-ся .

Up, down, up, down,

Which is the way

To Moscow town?

Where? Where?

Up in the air,

Close your eyes -

And you are there!

2. Фонетическая отработка изученных ЛЕ по теме ( стр.43).

III. Речевая зарядка. ( Слайд 3).

Answer my questions, please! - What are the biggest cities of Russia? What is the capital of Russia? When was Moscow founded? Who was the founder of St. Petersburg? Have you ever been to Moscow? St. Petersburg? What sights of these cities do you know?

IV. Активизация лексических навыков. ( Слайд 4).

А) Look at the screen . You can see the names of some sights. Match the parts of the words:

  1. The Kunstkammer a Царь-пушка

  2. Peterhof b Красная площадь

  3. Red Square c Петергоф

  4. The Kremlin d Кунсткамера

  5. The Bolshoi Theatre e Эрмитаж

St. Basil's Cathedral f Собор Василия Блаженного

  1. The Hermitage g Большой Театр

  2. The Armoury Chamber h Летний сад

  3. the Summer Garden i Царь-колокол

  4. the Tretyakov Gallery j Оружейная палата

  5. the Tsar Bell k Третьяковская галерея

В) Now speak about some of these places of interest in Moscow and St. Petersburg ( Слайды5-9).

( Уч-ся рассказывают о достопримечательностях, изображенных на экране).

V. Аудирование.

Look at the screen and listen to the texts. Then name the sight which I read about. ( Слайды 11,12).

  1. It is one of the symbols of Moscow. It is the tallest part of the Kremlin, it has 67,3 metres tall. It has the famous clock and its minute's hand is 3,28 metres long. The clock which we can see today was installed in the middle of the 19th century. ( the Spasskaya Tower.)

  2. It was founded in 1912 as a museum of plaster moulds on the initiative of Ivan Tsvetayev, the father of the renowned poetess Marina Tsvetayeva. Its collection includes works of art of the ancient Orient and ancient Egypt, of antiquity and Western Europe, ranks second in size after the famous Hermitage in St. Petersburg. ( the Pushkin Museum).

  3. It is situated in the Square of Arts. There is a famous monument near thus place of interest. You can see collections of beautiful works created by famous Russian painters. ( The Pushkin Museum).

  4. This place is connected with four sculptures. They symbolize the human victory of the animal. First we see a man lying near a horse, and then gradually he stands up and become the winner. It is the place which connects two banks of the river. ( The Anichkov Bridge).

VI. Защита проектов.

We have spoken about the main cities of Russia. And now answer me question : Has anybody been to Moscow or St. Petersburg? Do you like to travel?

1). How can we travel? ( Слайд 13)

2) Use the plan and speak about your trips. ( Уч-ся рассказывают о своих путешествиях летом).

VII. Итог урока.

Thank you for your work. All of you were active and attentive today. Did you like our lesson and what did you like most? ( Уч-ся высказывают свое мнение об уроке). ( выставление оценок). The lesson is over.
