3. Sightseeing of Kyzylorda. (excursion).

T:- Kyzylorda is situated in the South of Kazakhstan, on the lower strem of the Syrdaria river. Its total territory covers 249 thousand squarе km. The oblast population is about 650 thousand people. It is highly developed industrial town.

There are some non-ferrous (цветной) metallurgy, machine making, metal and wood processing a cellulose paper producing plants there.

It is the centre of a regions. Agriculture is highly a mechanized. Kyzylorda itself is a beautiful town. There are many interesting, modern buildings there. For example: the theatre after N. Bekejanov, the building of the diagnostical centre, poly -profile hospital 3 starry hotel, Samal, the building of the state University after Korkit Ata and others.

G - Can you make some stops back to the history of the town? I am interested in history.

P2 - Let me speak about the history, please.

- The town was named Aqmeshit till 1853 and it was Kogan bortress at that time, and it was renamed Rerovsk. After the revolution it was again renamed into Agmeshit. In 1925 the town was given the name Kyzylorda. During 1926-1929 years it had been the capital of Kazakh ASSR. Since 1938 Kyzylorda has become the oblast centre, its territory occupies 24,899,625 km2, which includes Kyzylorda town area with 61,349 km2.

G2 - I want to know about Aral and Baikonur problems

P3 - I want to speak about Baikonur. During the last 5 years 30 thousand people migrated Baikonur for Russia, but they didnit discharge from genceine documents because of unknown circumstances. Nowadays there are 27 thousand people of Russian Federation and 26 thousand people of Kazakhstan live there. 457 people of the Republic of Kazakhstan, working in space-veechcle [vi:kl] launching sife , accepted citizenchip of Russian Federation, 356 out of them are Kazakhs .

Inside the town only Russian monetary system is allowed for trading.

P4 -I am interested in Aral problems. Small Aral or Small Sea spreads to the north area of the former Aral sea territory. The extend of an area is about 3,2 thousand km2, water valume reaches 23,4 km3. So make such an artificial sea there should be built a hiderance of 21 km in length etc.

G3 -I heard that Kazakh land is rich in traditions, I wish to know about one of them.

P - With pleasure. I want to speak about national Kazakh holiday Nauris.( He speak about it)

G4 -Can you sing one of the folk songs.

P-With pleasure, we perform the old Kazakh folk song "Тобылғы сай".

( then one of the pupils asks him to sing one their folk songs)

G4 -With pleasure. I am from Scotland and there are many old traditions there. One of them is New Year. Scottish people celebrate New Yea' s Eve in every family. They have a good dinner. After that they begin to play games and dance. Before 12 o' clock people go out into the streets and sing old Scottish song Auld Sang Syne. The words were written by Burns.

( suggests to sing this song together if you know the lyrics

( they all sing the song ).

G5 - What can you say about Kazakh literature?

P6 - There are many well -known poets a writers in Kazakhstan. Last year we celebrate the 100th of anniversary of Abai and J. Jabaev and the 100th anniversary of M. Auezov, the famous novel. "The Path of Abai", it was translated in many foreign languages. This year we celebrate the 135th anniversary of A.Baitursinov.
