"Do you know me?"

Цели.

Образовательные: Дальнейшее развитие коммуникативной компетенции ;

Воспитательная: Анализ личностных характеристик учащихся, выяснение ими своих положительных и отрицательных качеств.

Задачи.

Повторение и обобщение изученного материала по теме посредством:

- повторения лексического материала по теме;

- построения коротких высказываний о различных аспектах своего характера и своих предпочтениях;

- изучения личностных качеств одноклассников.

План урока.

1. Организационный момент (Warming up).

2. Личностные качества. (Matching).

3. Высказывания о своих личностных качествах.

4. Стили одежды (групповая работа). Ассоциации со стилями (mind map).

5. Построение высказывания о своем любимом стиле одежды.

6. Личный опыт вечеринок. Анализ коротких текстов.

7. Высказывание о своем личном опыте на вечеринках.

8. Карта ассоциаций. С чем я ассоциирую себя?

9. Угадывание по карте ассоциаций, о ком из учеников класса идет речь.

10. Рефлексия урока.





Ход урока.

1. T: Dear friends! You are welcome here at our lesson "Do you know me?"In class we are revising some materials we have studied during our unit "Discover yourself". We are going to do a lot of interesting tasks individually and in groups. During the lesson you should be able to tell us about your personal qualities, about your favourite clothes styles as well as about your personal experiences at parties. You will be able to know each other much better today. O.K., let's start!

2. T: Tell me, what personal qualities (features of personality) can you name. What adjectives do you know?

P-ls: confident, honest, jealous, moody, shy, ambitious, reasonable, careful, reliable, generous.

T: Let's do the following task. Match the qualities with their definitions. Make it in groups, please. You get 5 minutes for that.

3. T: Now briefly tell me about your character. Take any 5 characteristics you posess and explain why you think so. For example…

P-ls: I am generous because I am always willing to share or give something to others.

I am reliable because…

I am sometimes moody because… (3 minutes)

4. T: Thank you for your work. Now tell me, do you like wearing smart clothes? Are clothes important for you? Of course, they are of great importance for everybody I know. Tell me now what clothing styles you know.

P-ls: Casual, formal, designer labels, sporty, romantic, punk.

T: Let's make some associations, for example, what do you associate designer labels with?

Now make such mind maps in groups. Each group gets its own style.

P-ls are making mind maps and explain their choices. (5 minutes)

5. T: Now let's work individually. Very briefly tell me what style you prefer and what would you wear in different situations. (3 minutes)

P-ls: I prefer casual style but what you wear depends on the situation. For example if I were going to a birthday party I would wear smart clothes. If I were going to school I would put on formal clothes because pupils at our school wear uniform.

6. T: Thanks! Now tell me, do you like parties? Do you often go to parties? Do you like to organize them? You have an opportunity to ask our guests about their attitude to parties.

Now will you open your books at page 43. Very quickly look at the texts

( 3 minutes) and then answer my questions:

7. I give you 5 minutes to get ready to speak about your party experiences.

P-ls: I am a real party person. I like parties and often go there. I like to organize parties, to make different contests. I like crazy jokes and I like to be in the centre of event.

8. T: Let's make your personal associations chart. Everyone gets a table you have to fill in.

9. T: give me all your charts. I now jumble them and give them out. Your task is to guess, who has written the chart and to tell me why you think so.

10. T: Thank you for your work very much. Tell me

- what was interesting?

- What was the most difficult task for you?

- What have you learnt at the lesson?
