Christmas 1

(Ученики приветствуют гостей,рассказывают о Рождестве, на экране проецируются слайды «Английские традиции»)

Snowmaiden (SN): Hi, boys and girls, dear guests and dear friends!

Do you know my name? Yes, I'm Snowmaiden. I 've come to you because you're havng a festival here and I like holidays, celebrations, when children sing, dance, recite poems. I usually come with my grandfather, but he is busy now in his forest, but he will certainly come on the 31st of December.

Oh, I see children in costumes, a beautiful New Year tree. But today isn't the 31st of December. Why are here? What are you celebrating? Is it New Year? - No, let me see… You study English and your English and American friends celebrate Christmas today an you want to celebrate it with them too? Oh, it's great!

So, it's Christmas!

(Ученики выходят к экрану, во время рассказа проецируются: чулок для подарков, санки, традиционное угощение, Рождественский венок, ёлка, Санта Клаус)

Pupils: Yes , it's Christmas!

P1: It's Christmas, Merry Cristmas, yes, it's merry, merry Christmas1

It's time for handing ctockings, it's time for riding sleighs.

It's time for jolly greetings, snow and holly, overeating.

Oh, I love you , Merry Christmas, you're the best of holidays!

SN: Well, on this day Englishmen decorate their houses with holly and misletoe. They hang a misletoe wreath on the front door.

P2. The Misletoe.

Mommy, Daddy, quick, let's go and stand beneath the Misletoe,

You kiss me and I'll kiss you too, Mommy, Daddu, quick, let's go

And stand beneath the misletoe!

P3 Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat.

Please to put a penny in the old man's hat.

If you have no penny, a'ha penny will do.

If you have no ha' penny, then God bless you.

Christmas is coming!

SM: Christmas is the time for dreams.

P4: White Christmas.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas just like the ones I used to know,

When the tree tops glisten and children listen to hear sleighbells in the snow,

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas with every Christmas card I write,

May your days be merry and bright and may all your Christmases be white!

(Ученики уходят, включаем сюжет: «Счастливого Рождества!» )

P4: Our Christmas play.

We were nervous and excited in assembly today,

For our parents came to visit us and watch our Christmas play.

Our teachers helped a little, but we did the most ourselves,

The fattest kid played Santa and the smallest kids were elves.

P5:

A few were Santa's reindeer, so they got to run and leap,

Some of us were shepherds and a bunch were wooly sheep.

There was Jesus in the manger, there was Joseph, there was Mary

And the tree wise Eastern Kings.

P6:

We wore make up , we wear costumes, it was really lots of fun,

And our parents all applauded, when our Christmas play was done.

Then we took our bowls together, everyone that is, but me - 2

I just stood there, green and fragrant, for I played the Christmas tree!

(Участники - на сцене, звучит музыка Чайковского, на экране - кадры из сказки. На сцене горит костёр, вокруг костра сидят и стоят месяцы. Появляется падчерица с корзинкой )

Scene from the fairy - tale "Twelve months"

Stepdaughter, twelve months.

SD:

Well, it's an edge of the forest. It is so dark here, I can not see my hands before my face. Oh, I see a light flickering some way ff amid the trees!

DECEMBER:

Who are you? Who brought you here?

Stepdaughter:

I have to pick a full basket of snowdrops.

JANUARY:

Snowdrops in January? Is it a joke, girl?

SD:

My stepmother sent me here for snowdrops and for bade me to return without them.

FEBRUARY:

What are you going to do?

SD:

I will stay in the forest and wait till the month of April comes. I would rather freeze here than return without them.

APRIL:

Brother January, let me take place for a single hour!

JANUARY:

Gladly would I grant you an hour, brother, but April cannot come before the months of February and March.

FEBRUARY:

Let him take my place, I don't mind. We all know this girl. We meet her at the ice - hole

with her pails or in the forest with her bundle of firewood.

JULY

And we, summer months, know her, too. She is a good girl.

SEPTEMBER:

Autumn months like her for her kind heart.

MARCH:

We must help her.

JANUARY:

So be it!

Frost, oh, frost, cold master of the ice,

Pray melt the frozen heart,

Untie

The stiff bonds in a trice

And let the snowdrifts part.

Sturdy fir and lofty pine,

Shake free your crystal lace;

Frozen snows, at once recline,

January yields his place.

Now, it's your turn, brother February!

FEBRUARY:

Wind, tempest, storm and gale,

Blow with all you might.

Blizzard, furies, steel and hail,

Rage into the night.

Plough your furrows throuh the snow,

Sweep across the lake.

Drive the ground wind high and low,

Twisting like a snake.

Now it is up to you, brother March.

MARCH: 3

Babble gaily, melting brook,

Ripple, glistening pool;

Ants awake and leave your nook,

Goner's te winter cruel.

Now, it is up to you, brother April.

APRIL:

Birds, return and sing your song,

Disperse the forest gloom.

Bears and squirrels, come along,

Tender snowdrops, bloom.

Girl, you have only one hour. Take your basket and pick snowdrops.

SD:

Thank you very much!

(Апрель и другие месяцы танцуют )

APRIL:

We've decided to give you our ring. If you want to see us, you'll have to throw our ring and say:

Roll, roll the ring, to the steps of spring,

To the summer porch, to the autumn cottage,

With winter shine to the New Year's fire!

SD:

Thank you, good bye!

All months:

Good - bye, girl!

MAY:

Spring is coming, I can feel it,

How fine is the morning air!

Birds are singing, buds are peping,

Life and joy is everywhere!

JUNE:

The summer sun shines hot and high.

Baby birds now learn to fly.

Green, green leaves and tasty fruit,

All the things are good!

JULY:

Come, to the woods on a sunny day,

Come to the wood on a day so gay,

Look at the grass, at the busy bees,

Look at the birds in the green, green trees!

AUGUST:

When trees are green and forests are green,

And grass is green and long,

It's good to walk in the forest and listen to birds' songs!

SEPTEMBER:

"Come, little leaves", says the wind one day.

"Come over the meadows with me to play. 4

Put on your dresses of red and gold.

For summer is gone and the days are cold"

OCTOBER:

Put on your jacketsand jeans for fall,

Now it's cold to play football!

Leaves turn orange, red and brown,

And they all are falling down!

NOVEMBER:

Suddenly the sky turned grey.

The day, which had been bitter and chill,

Grew soft and steel quitely.

From some invisible blossoming tree

Millions of petals cool and white,

Drifted and blew, lifted and flew,

Fell with the falling night!
