На доске изречение М. Горького

Look at the blackboard and read the saying by M. Gorky: "When a work is a pleasure, life is a joy. When a work is a duty, life is a slavery. ". Translate it. Thanks. Answer my question:

Will be your future profession a pleasure or a duty?

-P1 I think my future job will be a pleasure.

Help me, ask questions to each other.

3. Актуализация опорных знаний

(создание проблемы)

Teacher: Good. Let's pass to the next part of our lesson. At the previous lesson you were given new words and word combinations on the topic "Choosing a job" and I want to see whether you remembered them. First of all I'd like you to solve a problem.

Your father is a driver. He wants you to follow in his footsteps. Your mother is an accountant. She wants you to follow the fashion. What would you do?

P1. I want to say that I won't follow in my father's footsteps, because his job is low- paid and I won't follow the fashion. Frankly speaking, I haven't chosen my future profession.

P2. As I understood Roma will neither follow in his father's footsteps nor follow the fashion. As for me I am in two minds. On the one hand I would like to follow in my mother's footsteps, but on the other hand I would like to follow the fashion. So I want to be either a computer programmer or an accountant. I think these jobs are very competitive jobs.

Teacher: Open your copy-books, write down the date, it's time to revise our grammar theme:Conjunctions: either… or…; neither…nor When do we use these structures? How must we translate them? Who wants to answer? Well done. Thank you. Now let's do exercise 4b at page 102. I'll give you 5 minutes.
