Цель и задачи

Цель: Создание условий для формирования образовательных компетенций (коммуникативной, социокультурной) учащихся 5 класса в предметной области «Английский язык» по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона»

Учебные задачи, направленные на достижение личностных результатов:

- Формирование мотивации к изучению иностранного языка

- Формирование уважительного отношения к культуре, истории страны изучаемого языка

Учебные задачи, направленные на достижение метапредметных результатов:

- Развитие способности осуществлять продуктивные и речевые действия

- Развитие умения планировать своё речевое и неречевое поведение

- Совершенствование лексических навыков говорения в виде монологической и диалогической речи, развитие навыков аудирования и чтения

- Обучение логическим действиям анализа и синтеза

Учебные задачи, направленные на достижение предметных результатов:

- Активизация изученного материала по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона»

- Совершенствование умения отвечать на вопросы

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.
Цель: снять напряжение: настроить детей на работу; вести в атмосферу иноязычной речи, погрузить в языковую среду.
- Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning!)

- Say Good morning to our guests! (Good morning!)

- I am glad to see you. (We are glad to see you, too)

- Sit down, please. Get ready for the lesson. I am waiting for you to be quiet. Let's start our lesson.

- What date is it today?

- Who is absent today?

2. Фонетическая зарядка

First let's practice the English sounds. Look at the board and repeat after me this tongue-twister:

2. Have you ever been to London?
3. Would you like to visit London? Why?

T: If we are going to travel together in the future it will be necessary for us to find the places that we want to visit. Try to guess, what sights of London we speak about. What is it?

(Two pupils prepared the description of the sights at home, others will try to guess)

P1: It is one of the most famous bells in the world. You can hear its deep tone on the BBC. It is a symbol of London and Britain.

P1: It's the home of the British Royal Family in London. Outside the palace we can watch a colorful ceremony of the Changing of the Guard.

P1: The buildings in which the British Parliament sits.

P1: It is the best-known bridge. It was built in 1897. This bridge is across the Thames.
P5: It is the Tower Bridge.
P1: You are right.

P1: It is a fine cathedral in the central London. It was built by Sir Christopher Wren.
P6: It is St. Paul's Cathedral.
P1: You are right

P1: It is a large gothic church. It was built in the 11th century. Almost all kings and queens have been crowned there. Many famous British people are buried there.
P7: It is Westminster Abbey.
P1: You are right


P1: It is a London's central square. It is where Nelson's Column stands.
P8: It is Trafalgar Square.
P1: You are right.

P1: It is an ancient fortress in London. It was a royal palace and a prison for important people. Today it's a museum.
P9: I think it is the Tower of London.
P1: You are right.


P1: It is the biggest museum in London. It was founded in 1753.
P10: It is the British Museum.

5. Развитие навыков диалогической речи. Проверка домашнего задания.

T: OK, you know a lot of places in London. But we can lose our way. It will be very important for you to ask some help and if you know the way you'll help the person to find the way. Show your own dialogues with your partners. Be ready in a minute.

Примерные ответы:

- Excuse me. Could you tell me how to get to Westminster Abbey, please?

- Oh. It is very easy. Can you see this building? You see the House of Parliament. Near the House of Parliament you can see Westminster Abbey.

- Oh. I see. Thank you very much.

- You are welcome.

- Excuse me I am looking for the Tower of London. I'd like to see this place. Can you tell mу where it is, please?

- It's on the river Thames not far from the Tower Bridge.

6. Развитие навыков аудирования.
Now let's listen to the dialogue about the Russian students who visited London. Open your books at page 119, exercise 113. Follow the task.
7.Физкультминутка.I see that you are tired. Will you stand up? Let's remember our phisical exercises (Учащиеся и учитель смотрят на экран и выполняют упражнения.)

8. Проверка домашнего задания
You remember many places of interest in London but about one of the places you read at home. Now let's check your homework.
What was your home task? (P: Exercise 117, page 120)
You had to read that text at home for understanding and now will you please answer the questions according to this text (ex.118, p.121)

T: I have an interesting story about one of the magical places. But in this story there are some missing words. You will put missing verbs from the box in the right form. Read, translate and answer the questions.
