Тема урока: Чтение текста. История семьи Рози. Учиться описывать внешность людей.

Цель урока: Научить учащихся использовать новые лексические единицы в чтении и в устной речи.

Задачи:

1. Закрепить умения и навыки употребления союза when/

2. Отработать фонетические навыки произношения новых лексических единиц

3. Отработать значения новых слов по теме "Appearance". Повторить употребление when.

4. Тренировать учащихся в чтении текста по теме.

5 . Учить учащихся правильно отвечать на специальные вопросы по тексту .

Развивающие задачи:

1. Развивать умение работать в парах, в группах и принимать совместное решение.

2. Развивать положительные личностные качества (ответственность, доброжелательность, активность).

3. Развивать и тренировать память, мышление, внимание и такие общеучебные навыки, как составление таблицы и пересказ прочитанного.

4. Формировать навыки самостоятельной работы с учебником и словарем.

5. Развивать познавательную активность учащихся.

6.Учить сравнивать ,анализировать, делать выводы.

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Развивать социокультурные знания учащихся.

2. Развивать креативные способности.

3. Формировать коммуникативную компетенцию.

Оборудование урока: учебник, компьютер, экран, иллюстрации "My Body",таблица, кластеры. Кассета с аудиозаписью стихотворений и песни.

Ход урока.

I. Приветствие и организационный момент начала урока.

Good-morning, dear boys and girls! I'm very glad to see you here. Let's begin our lesson.

II. Контроль домашнего задания.

a) Who wants to read his/ her poem?

Life wasn't fun. I could play with bricks.

All fairy tales were true. I was very clever.

I couldn't cross the street. I was never late.

I could clean the floor, I was always fine.

III. Речевая зарядка.

I want you to learn many new words today. This words help us to describe a person and review the verb can and conjunction when.

IV. Введение нового лексического материала и его отработка.

1. Well, now please look at the words and translate the words into Russian, after that you can see the picture and check - up your answer.

b) I like to look at my family's photos and remember my great - grandparents. What can I see there? Look at the portrait on Page 164 or at the screen match parts of the body in the picture and the words. Use the model : a is an eye, b is ___

c) Тренинг-минимум. (Чтобы довести до автоматизма знание слов. Даются шаблонные задания, переходящие в самостоятельную работу учащихся.)

Давайте составим в тетрадях кластер из новых слов, распределив их следующим образом:

1. leg.

2. face.

3. head.

4. chin. Body Face

5.hand. leg chin

6. body. hand eye

7.eye. arm ear

8. ear. foot mouth

9. mouth. head hair

10. hair. neck lips

d) We need some other words to describe a man, a woman or a child. And, now, pay attention to ex. 2 p. 164. Let's listen, repeat and read some new words.

Our friend want to help us to learn some new words, too. Read them in the rubric " Friends" and guess the meaning of the underlined words.

1. There are a lot of family portraits on the wall. - на стене много семейных портретов.

2. My grandfather was a soldier in the World War II. - мой дедушка был солдатом во время Второй мировой войны.

3. She has beautiful blonde hair but her nose is very big. - у нее прекрасные светлые волосы, но нос очень большой.

а) It is so funny to look at old portraits, isn't it? Rosy has some family portraits at home and she wants to tell us her family history. Let's read the story at page 165

2. It's a very long but interesting story. Rosy's great grandparents were different. Could you guess whose portraits can we see on page 165?

There are some opposites among the new words. Can you write them of? Do exercise 6 on page 166.

Curly - straight группа c - составить свои предложения с антонимами

Kind - angry, cruel

4. Дальнейшее заучивание слов.

When we describe people we use the following words: blonde, tall, small, big, dark, slim, short, straight, tall, black, curly, fat, green, red, blue, long.

a) Why was Sir Edward's nickname Edward Strong Arms? - Sir Edward's nickname was Edward Strong Arm because he was a good soldier.

b) What colour were Lady Jane's eyes? - Lady Jane's eyes were blue.

c) What colour were Diandra`s eyes? - Diandra`s eyes were red

d) Was Lady Jane tall? - yes, she was

e) Why was Sir Walter's nickname Raven? Sir Walter's nickname was Raven because his nose and ears were very big and his hair was black.

f) Was Sir Walter fat? - No, he wasn't.

g) Was Sir Walter tall? - yes, he was.
