Урок обобщения изученных знаний

Задачи:

- развитие логического мышления;

- развитие навыков аудирования;

- развитие монологического высказывания;

- совершенствовать навыки самостоятельной творческой работы;

- умение работать в группе;

- прививать интерес к предмету;

- воспитание толерантного отношения к культуре Америки;

- поддерживать у учащихся интерес к изучению английского языка.

Оснащение урока:

Компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, экран, фото с изображением Нью-Йорка, жетоны.

Ход урока.

1. Орг. момент.

Teacher: Good afternoon! I'm glad to see you! So, pupils we have some guests at the lesson. Say hello to them. Don't pay attention at them and work as usually. Sit down, please! And now I'm glad to see you in our intellectual casino.

You can earn or get marks by your brains. I will give you some questions and if you right answer I give you token. Then you can exchange it on the marks. But before every question I will say: "Please, stake! The cost is, for example, 2 tokens". Do you understand? OK! Let's begin our show! And you get 5 tokens everybody. Before we begin the game, let's listen to some information about history of New York!

Pupils1: (Read the text about history of New York) заранее готовит информацию учащийся (индивидуальная работа).

В это время на экране фото Нью-Йорка.

Teacher: Thank you! Now I have a question. Please, stake! The cost is 1token. Stake done! Who is this person? (на экране портрет Джеймса 2 короля Йоркского, и даются варианты ответов: Вашингтон, Джеймс 2, Рокфеллер).

Pupils : Answer

Teacher: Thank you! Next stake! The question is difficult! That's why the stake is 3 tokens. Please, name me all boroughs of New York! (на экране карта Нью-Йорка)

Pupils: Answer: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, the Bronx

Teacher: Thank you! Next question is about symbol of America. Stake is 1 token! What is the symbol of America chose the variant! (на экране варианты ответов, после ответов появляется фото статуи свободы)

Teacher: OK! Our casino has the sponsor. It's the Liberty Helicopter, let's listen to their representative!

Pupils2: (Read the advertisement about the Statue of Liberty) на экране рекламный флаер.

Teacher: Thank you! And we are continuing! Next stake! The question is not difficult! The stake is 1 token! The question: What is the biggest building of New York? You have 3 variant: The Guggenheim museum, The Rockefeller Center, The Empire State Building. (на экране фото здания)

Pupils: Answer: The Empire State Building.

Teacher: Good! Next stake! The stake is 2 token! The question: What does avenue divide Manhattan into two parts? Variants: 6th avenue, 5th avenue, 4th avenue, Broadway.

Pupils: Answer: 5th avenue

Teacher: Very Good! Next stake! The stake is 2 token! Look at the picture! What is this building? You have no variant. Only your answer!

Pupils: Answer: The Rockefeller Center

Teacher: Before we will continue, let's listen to information about modern New York. Please!

Pupils3: (Read the text about history of New York) заранее готовит информацию учащийся (индивидуальная работа).

Teacher: And now we have the last question! It's difficult question! That's why the stake is 4 tokens! Look at the screen! We have a video question! (на экране видео запись ученицы 10 класса, которая просит рассказать о Нью-Йорке как можно больше информации).

Teacher: Excellent! Congratulation! Our show finished! Who have more tokens? You are winners! OK!! Thank you very much! Our casino is closed!
