Введение

Совершенствование форм контроля - одна из самых важных задач современной методики. Основное внимание в последние годы было удалено разработке вопросов тестирования. Тест считается одним из самых эффективных средств контроля в обучении иностранного языка.

Тест (от англ. test - испытание, исследование) - это система заданий, выполнение которых позволяет охарактеризовать уровень владения языком с помощью специальной шкалы результатов. Тесты также широко применяются для определения умственного развития, способностей, и других характеристик личности.

Тесты являются составной частью тестирования - метода исследования, предусматривающего выполнение испытуемым специальных заданий. Такие задания носят название тестовые. Они предлагаются либо в открытой форме (испытуемый должен дополнить основной текст, чтобы получить истинное высказывание), либо в закрытой форме (испытуемый должен выбрать нужный ответ из нескольких вариантов, причем один из них правильный, а остальные - нет).

Тестирование при обучении английскому языку в СПО

Основное различие между традиционными контрольными заданиями и тестовыми заданиями заключается в том, что последние всегда предполагают измерение с использованием специальной шкалы. Поэтому оценка, выставляемая по итогам тестирования, отличается большей объективностью и независимостью.

Стандартная форма заданий при этом обеспечивает оперативность в работе и легкость подсчета результатов. Среди многочисленных типов задания, которые используются для составления тестов и контрольных работ, чаще всего встречаются следующие:

  • -перекрестный выбор (matching),

  • -альтернативный выбор (true-false, ets. ),

  • -множественный выбор (multiple choice),

  • -упорядочение (rearrangement),

  • -завершение / окончание (completion),

  • -замена / подстановка (substitution),

  • -трансформация,

  • -ответ на вопрос,

  • -внутриязыковое перефразирование (перевод),

  • -клоуз-процедура (cloze procedure) и т. д.

Использование тестов при обучении иностранному языку рассматривали многие зарубежные исследователи. Как известно, А. Дейвис разработал первую типологию тестов. Он различает следующие типы тестов:

  • Диагностические тесты (diagnostic tests),

  • Тесты владения языком (proficiency tests),

  • Тесты достижений (achieve rent tests),

  • Тесты склонности к языку (aptitude tests)

Диагностические тесты показывают пробелы в обучении. На основании их результатов можно выработать профилактические меры, как для отдельных учащихся, так и для групп в целом.

Тесты склонности к языку используются для определения уровня знаний учащихся в целях дифференциации обучения.

Тесты достижений используются для проверки усвоения пройденного материала и помогают выявить степень обученности учащихся.

Тесты владения языком могут быть составлены без учета содержания определенного языкового курса, но при этом имеется в виду то, что учащийся имеет возможность овладения иностранным языком и вне аудитории. Как показывает практика, именно данный метод контроля (метод тестирования) является наиболее эффективным и результативным при обучении студентов неязыковых специальностей иностранному языку.
