Тема: Transport. The comparison degrees of adjectives. (Транспорт. Ступені порівняння прикметників.)

Мета:

Дидактична:узагальнити лексичний матеріал з теми « Транспорт», активізувати вживання вивченого лексичного матеріалу в усному та писемному мовленні учнів; закріпити граматичний матеріал «Ступені порівняння прикметників».

Розвиваюча: розвивати мислення, зорову та слухову пам'ять, увагу; сприяти розвитку діалогічного мовлення; удосконалювати навички аудіювання, читання, письма; розвивати вміння працювати індивідуально, у парі, в групі.

Виховна: виховувати культуру спілкування, підвищувати рівень мотивації до вивчення англійської мови.

Обладнання: картки , ноутбук (для презентації, ілюстрацій), магнітофон (виконання пісні « He`s a little bit lazy…», роздатковий матеріал.

Тип уроку:узагальнення і систематизація знань.

Форми та види робіт:фронтальна, індивідуальна, групова, парна.

Children, today we have an unusual lesson. But don`t be afraid, smile and have a nice mood.

T. Look at the blackboard, please. What can you see ?

Pupils answer that this is a transport. You are right. So the topic of our today`s lesson is "Transport".Today we`ll do different tasks. As you have already learned many words and about different kinds of transport, you can show and use your knowledge.

T. Why we need transport?

- For travelling.

On your desks there are some sheets. Look at the first sheet and let`s read this short rhyme and practice your English language. Repeat after me:

We go by car

And we go by train

We go by boat

And we go by plane

We go by land

And sea and air

We go, go, go

From here to there.

T. Children, as you know, there are many means of transport. We can divide them into four groups: look at the screen and remember what are they( Вчитель показує презентацію з теми «Транспорт»).

So, what kind of transport do you know? Name it.

Let`s guess the riddles:

It has two wheels and can go very fast_______________________

5. Основна частина.

Ok, very nice. On your badges there are colored squares (blue and red). So I have divided you into two groups, but we don`t know how to name them. Please, choose the transport which you will travel today. Tell your title, please.

Look at the blackboard and name the transport all together. But I know you like to play interesting games. Let`s look to the right and guess what kind of transport you can see through the keyhole.

Children choose the card and answer. Well done.

There are many cards for each group on your desks. So, children take one card and make any sentence about this kind of transport. (Картки є в однаковій кількості для двох команд). Each pupil go to the board and answer.

T. Now work in pairs and ask each other about your favourite transport . Look at the screen, use the plan :

Travelling. Means of Transport

With modern services you can go around the world. You can choose the means of transport you like: plane, van, train, ship, bicycle etc.

Of course, travelling by plane is the fastest, but it is the most expensive too.

Travelling by train is slower than by plane, but it has its advantages. You can see much more interesting places of the country. Modern trains have very comfortable seats. There are also sleeping vans and dining vans which make even the longest trip.

Travelling by ship is very popular. Large ships and small river boats can visit foreign countries and different places of interest within their own country.

Travelling by car is very convenient. You needn't reserve tour tickets. You needn't carry heavy suitcases. You can stop wherever you wish, and spend at any place as much time as you like.

As you see, we always use adjectives , when we talk about travelling and transport.

But we can use adjectives when we describe something else. Now you will listen to the song about the cat« He`s a little bit lazy…». Point to the text, because you will fill the missing words.

He`s a little bit lazy and a little bit fat,

But we think Oscar is the cleverest cat!

Other cats are bigger, they run faster too

But other cats can`t do what Oscar can do.

He`s sweeter than them and he`s funnier too.

He always makes us laugh when we`re sad and blue.

He`s a little bit silly and he can`t catch mice.

But we don`t mind because we think he`s very nice.

He`s a little bit lazy and a little bit fat,

But we think Oscar is the cleverest cat!

Look in your sheet and write the missing words (adjectives) in the gaps. Then give your sheet to your partner to check your work using original song in pupil`s book on p. 67 or look at the slide.

Is there anybody who doesn`t have any mistakes? If you have any mistakes correct them.

  • to add article the and endingest or the most + long adjective to form the superlative degree.

6.Узагальнення і систематизація знань учнів з теми.

Now it is the time for work in groups. Choose two kinds of transport from the small cards on the desk, stick it on the paper and write some sentences about them. Use the comparison degrees of adjectives. Then choose one speaker from your team to present your work.

7. Заключна частина уроку:

T. Two groups were active, creative, diligent . Now we`ll sum up our lesson and do it in such form : one of you will say the kind of transport and the next pupil will say the adjective and the third will make the sentence with these words. Do it like a chain. For example: a train - a fast train - I see a fast train.
