The House in the Wood

Characters:

M-Mouse

(A very nice spot in the forest. Among the trees there is a small house. Near the house there is a Mouse.)

Mouse.- Hello! Hello! I am a little Mouse. I live in this house. But I haven't got friends.

(M. enters the house and sits at the window. 2 frogs appear.)

Frog1- Oh, what a nice house! Who lives in this house?

M. -I do. I am a little Mouse. I live in this house. And who are you?

Frog2. - We are little frogs. We like to jump very much. May we live in your house?

M.- Of course you may. Come here, please.

(They all enter the house. The Bunny appears in front of the house.)

Bunny. - Wow! What a nice house! Who lives in this house?

M.F1F2- We do. (together)

- I am a mouse. (M)

- We are frogs (F1F2)

-But who are you? (м)

B. -I am a bunny. My name is Sunny. I am very funny. May I live in your house?

M.F1F2- Of course , you may. Come here, please.

(They all enter the house.2 kittens appear.)

Kitten1- Oh, look. What a nice house! Who lives in this house?

M.F1F2B- We do. (together)

- I am a mouse.(M)

- We are frogs(F1F2)

- I am a bunny.

-But who are you?( together)

Kitten2- We are little kittens. We haven't got mittens. We like to play. May we live in your house?

M.F1F2B- Of course , you may. Come here, please.

(They all enter the house. The Bear appears.)

Bear"- Wow! What a nice house! Who lives in this house?

M.F1F2BK1K2- We do.(together)

- I am a mouse.(M)

- We are frogs(F1F2)

- I am a bunny.

-We are kittens.

-But who are you? (together)

B" _ I am a bear. I like to sleep and play hide-and seek. May I live in your house?

M.F1F2BK1,2- Of course , you may. Come here, please.

(3 Ducks appear.)

Duck1- Look, what a nice house! Who lives in this house? M.F1F2BK1K2B"- We do.( together)

- I am a mouse.(M)

- We are frogs(F1F2)

- I am a bunny.

-We are kittens.

-I am a bear.

-But who are you?( together)

Duck2,3-We are little ducks. We like to fly and swim. May we live in your house?

M.F1F2BK1,2,B"- Of course , you may. Come here, please.

(The Dog appears)

Dog"- Wow! What a nice house! Who lives in this house?

M.F1F2BK1K2B"D1,2,3- We do.( together)

- I am a mouse.(M)

- We are frogs (F1F2)

- I am a bunny.

-We are kittens.

-I am a bear.

-We are ducks.

-But who are you?( together )

D"- I am a dog. I like to play leap-frog. May I live in your house?

M.F1F2BK1,2,3B"D1,2,3- Of course , you may. Come here, please.

(The Fox appears)

Fox-Oh, what a nice house! Who lives in this house?

M.F1F2BK1K2B"D1,2,3D"- We do.( together)

- I am a mouse.(M)

- We are frogs(F1F2)

- I am a bunny.

-We are kittens.

-I am a bear.

-We are ducks.

-I am a dog.

-But who are you?( together)

Fox- I am a red fox. May I live in your house? I want to be your friend.

M,F1,F2,B,K1K2,B",D1,2,3,D"- Of course , you may. Come here, please. Let's be friends!

( Some children may play the part of flowers and trees in the wood. The costumes may be very simple, just head masks/hats or elements of costume)
