Тема урока: Вопреки всему!

Цели:

обучающие - освоить фразовые глаголы (give); развивать компенсаторную и социокультурную компетенции.

развивающие - развивать познавательные универсальные учебные действия (УУД), в том числе умения работать со словарём (распознавание значений фразовых глаголов), умение структурировать письменный текст;

воспитательные - воспитывать уважение к людям разных профессий, развивать стремление к совершенствованию собственной культуры;

Оборудование: учебник «Spotlight», записи на доске, компьютер

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

-Good afternoon, boys and girls! (Good afternoon,!)

-I am glad to see you. (We are glad to see you too.)

-How are you? (We are fine, thanks. And how are you?)

-I'm fine, thank you. Vova, how is your mother? (She is fine, thanks).

-P1, is your father OK? (Yes, he is. He is OK).

-Who is absent today? (All pupils are present).

-And who is on duty today? (P1 and P2 are on duty today).

-OK .Let's start our work. Look at the pictures on the screen and guess the topic of our today's lesson.

-You are right. Today we'll speak about prominent people, discuss a person we admire.

II. Фонетическая разминка

Задача: тренировка навыков произношения

- Let's learn the new poem. It will help us to pronounce the English sounds and words better. Listen to the poem, please. Do you like it? Repeat the poem after me

III. Речевая разминка

Задача: активизировать изученную ранее тематическую лексику, мотивировать учащихся на дальнейшую работу по теме.

- Now I want you to describe your classmates, using the adjectives from Ex.2a, p.28. Mind the order of adjectives.

- Who wants to start the ball rolling?

IV. Тренировка навыков изучающего и поискового чтения

Задачи: развитие умения прогнозировать содержание текста на основе фоновых знаний; развитие умений поискового чтения.

- Open your textbooks at p.30, ex.1. Is the person in the picture a famous scientist/ inventor/ actor/ politician? What is his name? What do you know about him? Listen, read and find out.

V. Активизация навыков изучающего чтения. Тренировка лексических навыков

Задачи: развитие умений изучающего чтения; освоение в речи прилагательных, используемых для описания личностных качеств.

- Look through the task of ex.2, p.30. Which of these adjectives best describe Hawking? Give your reasons.

- Now I want you to do ex.3, p.30. Find the prepositions that follow these words in the text. Use them in the sentences of your own. Then explain the words in bold. (Ex.3b)

VI. Физкультминутка

• I see you are tired! Let's have a rest. Will you stand up, please?

Hands on the head,

Hands on the hips,

Hands on the table,

Hands like this. (Любое движение.)

Hands on shoulders,

Hands up and down,

Hands behind the head

And sit down!

VII. Введение и отработка нового лексического материала по теме «Фразовые глаголы (give)»

Задача: освоение значений и употребления фразовых глаголов (give).

• It's time to learn new phrasal verbs. Read the spidergram from ex.4, p.30. Then complete the sentences. Give your own examples.

VIII. Развитие умений ознакомительного чтения. Составление плана текста.

Задачи: развитие умений ознакомительного чтения; развитие умений составлять план текста.

- We' ll learn to make up the plan of the story. Open your textbooks on p.30, ex.5. Use the headings given in this exercise to complete the paragraph plan.

- Now we' ll read "Study skills" and learn how to organize our writing. P1, begin reading, please.

IX. Подведение итогов урока
