В рамках проекта « Введение в профессиональную деятельность на основе творческой активности учащихся»

Цели мероприятия:

практическая: обобщить знания и умения учащихся по теме « Типы судов, судовые должности, навигация»; закрепление активного словарного запаса

развивающая: развивать воображение, фантазию, творческое мышление; развивать речевые способности, способность логически излагать, развивать речевые навыки

воспитательная: учить обучающихся работать в команде, принимать решения, воспитание потребности в практическом использовании иностранного языка в профессиональной сфере деятельности

Идея мероприятия: "Преодоление трудностей закаляет характер".

1.Организационный момент: Команды студентов сидят по группам за партами.

Teacher:

Today we are going to have a lesson : ' I am the captain of a ship'. It will be in a form of a "Quest" between two teams. The aim is that the captain of a ship is responsible for his team and all members of the team are responsible for his captain and for each other. The slogan is "One for all, all for one"

Сюжет игры: « Команды - экипажи» встречаются за круглым столом. По ходу игры им предстоит столкнуться со множеством задач, которые им предстоит решить, чтобы отправиться в плавание.

Правила игры:

1. Каждый экипаж возглавляет «капитан», он презентует свой корабль, свою команду и слоган своей команды ( визитную карточку в виде мини-презентации)

2. Остальные участники принимают на себя роли помощника капитана (старпома), старшего механика, рулевого и т. д.

3. За прохождение каждого этапа игры команды получают баллы.

4. Побеждает экипаж набравший большее количество баллов.

6 этап - решение проблемных ситуаций ( Problem solving)

Situations:

I. The situation: "During the storm the shipboy slipped on the deck and fell on his right hand. Hand in the joint took an unnatural position.
Task: "What first aid is needed for this shipboy"?

Ситуация: «Во время шторма юнга поскользнулся на палубе и упал на правую руку. Рука в области сустава приняла неестественное положение».

Задание: «Какая первая помощь необходима юнге»?

Possible answers:

1. Give him some pills to relieve the pain

2. Put him on the stretchers

3. Bring him to the sick-bay

4. Leave him in peace

5. Sometimes in case of emergency you'll have to apply for medical treatment in a foreign port

6. Send him to the hospital to see a doctor

II. The situation: A FIRE ALARM .A fire is in the engine- room of the vessel. Come up with the first actions for putting out a fire.

Possible answers:

1. First we must break the glass and press a fire alarm button

2. Then we must raise the alarm

3. Third: bring fire extinguishers and fire hoses to the place of fire

4. After that put out a fire with the help of water or by steam

5. And if a fire in the engine- room is big, all stuff should leave the E.R. quickly

III. The situation: MAH OVERBOARD ALARM.

Come up with the actions for SAVING A PERSON

Possible answers:

1. If I notice a man overboard, I must throw him a life - ring.

2. After that I must raise the alarm.

3. I must not lose the drowning man out of sight.

4. I take part in a salvage operation.

5. I fulfill all the orders of the watch engineer.

6. In case o f a bad visibility it is necessary to switch on additional search lights.

IV. Situation: "By chance it has become known that a new 18-year-old shipboy of your crew began to smoke. The entire crew is concerned about it".
Task: Offer a common solution to this issue".

Ситуация: «Случайно стало известно, что новенький 14-летний юнга вашего экипажа начал курить. Весь экипаж обеспокоен этим».

Задание: «Предложите здравое решение этого вопроса».

Possible answers:

1. Explain him the consequences of smoking

2. Persuade him to give up smoking

3. Give him some advice how to quit smoking

4. Make him keep watch instead

5. Forbid him to smoke on board

V.Situation: "One of the sailors of the "crew" went on shore leave until 11 p.m., but turned back at t twelve p.m., beaten by his company.

VI. Situation: "One of the sailors of the crew came back from the shore leave in a state of slight intoxication. It happened for the first time".
Assignment: "Your actions in this situation."

Ситуация: «Один из «матросов» «экипажа» вернулся из увольнения на берег в состоянии легкого опьянения. Это случилось впервые».

Задание: «Ваши действия в этой ситуации».

6. Explain him the rules ( protocol) of behaviour on the vessel

VII. The situation: "the Crew" went to a rest on the nature on your favourite place, but it is already occupied. Vacationers there behave not properly: scattering trash and empty bottles, cutting the bushes for the fire, making noise, making fire, laugh very loudly
Task: What are five of your actions".

Ситуация: «Экипаж» выехал отдыхать на природу на свое любимое место, но оно уже занято. Отдыхающие там ведут себя непорядочно: разбрасывают мусор и пустые бутылки, ломают кусты для костра».

Задание: «Назовите пять ваших действий».

Possible answers:

1. First may be to get acquainted with them.

2. Then we try to make a friendly contact with them.

3. After that we try to explain that they shouldn't scatter trash and empty bottles

4. And we try to persuade them not to cut the bushes for the fire

5. And the last we ask them not to make noise and laugh very loudly

VIII. Situation: The eighteen-year-old shipboy of your" crew " Sasha, returning in the evening from dismissal, announced for all that he is an adult, he has a passport, and he wants to marry Masha- the shipgirl from another" crew, "she agreed.

Task: "Find arguments urging Sasha that it is too early for this act."

1. I think that the money would come in very handy for us ( we must take them).

2. In my opinion we had better share them between everyone.

3. To my mind we can throw the purse and documents away.

4. As for me I wouldn't take car keys and documents at all, we will have problems.

5. Personally I think, that the best way for us to do is to bring all of these to the police.

X. Situation: "Your" crew "went on leave in the UK. You have lost. The policeman, who you have applied to, does not understand what you are saying. "

Task: "You have to explain that you are from Russia and to translate without using a dictionary, words that came into Russian from English.

Ситуация: «Ваш «экипаж» ушел в увольнение в Великобритании. Вы
заблудились. Полицейский, к которому вы обратились, не понимает, о чем вы говорите».

Задание: «Вы должны объяснить, что вы из России и перевести, не пользуясь словарем, слова, которые пришли в русский язык из английского языка.

7 - этап Команды задают неожиданный вопрос друг другу и просят дать остроумный ответ.

Task: Come up with witty responses to the economist.

Ситуация: «У вас в гостях известный экономист. Он предлагает вам перевозку пассажиров с организацией питания по «шведской» модели и задает вопрос: « Много ли в котлетах мяса рябчика? Ведь эта птичка маленькая».

Задание: «Придумайте остроумный ответ на предложение экономиста».

2. Situation: During the dinner break one of the Russian sailors of the international crew says to his American collegue that he has heard that the American President Barak Obama doesn't like ice-cream and asks why?

Task: Come up with witty responses to the question.Ситуация: Во время обеденного перерыва один из российских моряков международного экипажа говорит своему американскому коллеге, что он слышал, что американский президент Барак Обама не любит мороженое. Почему?

Задание: Придумайте остроумный ответ на вопрос.
