Тема: Средства массовой информации

Цели и задачи урока:

1. Образовательные: научить употреблять изученную лексику по теме, обсуждать проблемы по данной теме в монологических и диалогических высказываниях;

2. Воспитательные задачи: воспитывать у учащихся активную жизненную позицию.

3. Развивающие задачи: развивать у учащихся познавательную активность на уроке, страноведческую компетенцию, интерес к изучению английского языка, любознательность, учить детей самостоятельно решать проблемы на базе изученной лексики по теме, обучать детей делать выводы и обобщение по основным проблемам темы.

Оснащение урока:

учебник, аудиоприложение (CD MP3), поздравительные открытки учащихся с Рождеством, журналы, газеты, карточки со словами.

Ход урока.

1. Приветствие, вступительное слово учителя:

Good morning, boys and girls! How are you? I`m glad to see you. Today we`ll speak about many interesting things: about mass media in our country and in the UK. Our lesson will be like a talk show. Imagine we are at the television studio. We`ll discuss a lot of problems concerning mass media. Let`s begin. Mass media play an important role in the modern society. We live in the era of information, nowadays information can be more valuable than money. This information is necessary for our life, work and entertainment.

4. TV is an interesting world.

There are a lot of topics for discussion, but we`ll play. It`s time to think about your future profession. Let`s organize the competition «The best TV announcer». The profession of the TV announcer is very popular. Let`s read the requirements for this profession. Listen to me attentively, there are three participants in the competition, all the rest will be a jury. Jury, your task is to choose the best and to give him or her your voice. Let`s compete. Masha will be the first. Christmas comes but once a year. Maxim will be the second. Children all over the world enjoy the New Year. Выступление учащегося. 5. Radio appeared much later than the first Russian newspaper. Who invented it and when did regular radio broadcasting begin in Russia?
