Today we have unusual lesson. The motto of our lesson is ''The more we learn different countries the more we know each other''. It's a lesson - journey. Today we'll visit the country " Australia. "

2. What is the national symbol of Australia? ( Kangaroo)

3. What language do Australians speak? ( English)

4. Who were the first settlers in Australia? ( English prisoners)

5. When do the Australians celebrate New Years and Christmas? ( in summer)

6. What is the capital of Australia? ( Canberra)

7. What is the oldest city in Australia? ( Sidney)

8. Who discovered Australia? ( James Cook)

Asia is the continent which is the nearest to Australia in the north. In the Middle Ages people called Australia "terra australis incognita". Also there are three deserts places. They are Great Sandy Desert, the Great Victoria Desert and the Gibson Desert. The Pacific Oceans washes Australia in the east

New South Wales is the leading industrial state of Australia. The capital of Australia doesn't belong to any state. Australia is divided into 8 parts which are six states and two territories. The leading producer of pears and berries of different kinds within Australia is Tasmania.

4. Begin our journey by telling about "Climate of Australia".

Winter comes in July in the Hemisphere. The typical temperatures in July range from 12 to 20 'C. People often sunbathe on the beach or swim and surf in the ocean during the Christmas holidays. Summer begins in December.

1. Red kangaroo

There are more than 40 different kinds of kangaroos in Australia. The red kangaroo bounds along on its enormous back legs using its strong tail to help it balance. A big male kangaroo can clear more than 9 m in one leap.

The name of the wild dog of Australia is dingo. Dogs brought to Australia about

8000 years ago, but they have become wild again. Dingoes yelp or howl instead of barking.

3. Еmus

Emus cannot fly, but they have strong legs and vassive feet and can run at up to 48 k/h. The emu is the second largest bird in the world. It usually eats grass, berries, fruit and insects, but they have been known to swallow marbles,nails and even coins.

Использование уроков и внеклассных мероприятий в процессе обучения иностранному языку к учебнику для 8-го класса

Объяснительная записка

Использование уроков и внеклассных мероприятий в оригинальной, нетрадиционной форме направленно не только на развитие основных видов речевой деятельности, но и на формирование ассоциативного мышления, памяти, навыков общения в коллективе,творческой инициативы ученика.

Именно развитие устной речи становится главной задачей урока. Творческий характер заданий предлогаемых в ходе урока способствует лучшему запоминанию и усвоению различных грамматических явлений, расширению лексического запаса развитию монологической и диологической речи, а также открывает широкие возможности для индивидуальной работы ученика. Урок содержет подробные лингвистические игры, викторины. Материал урока приводится в соответствии с учебно- методическим задачами школьного курса и охватывает основные темы базового и продвинутого уровней учебной программы. Благодаря таким упражнениям учитель может установить прочли ли учащиеся текст «вслепую» или хорошо ориентируются в нем, могут ли различать основную и второстепенную информацию, установить причинно-следственную связь между отдельными событиями рассказа, обобщить основные факты. Цель данного урока- помочь учителям организовать и провести интересные, запоминающиеся и увлекательные уроки и внеклассные мероприятия на английском уроке.

В данном уроке использовала следующие виды речевой деятельности:

- лексические выражения;

- упражнения на точное понимание фактов читаемого;

- просмотри текст и заверши предложение;

- кроссворд;

- географические понятия, термины;

-чтение стихотворения и т.д.

Также были использованы наработки из опыта преподавания английского языка.
