Действия учеников:

And there is a conversation between P1-P2 (about the date, day of the week, weather, how one spent his weekend, about homework)

P1------P2 (asking the words) and pupils express their opinion on some points of view.

1.Some people say that television kills conversation. Does it?

2. Television is like a drug, people get addicted to certain television series and they simply can't switch it off.

Pupils' answers may be in this way: I agree with the first statement. Television can really kill conversation. After watching TV they don't speak. They don't express their opinion at the end of the programme. They are passive viewers. It's so important to have a talk with somebody. Everybody must have their own point of view.

Pupils pronounce these words.

Pupils copy out the words which they pronounced as a phonetic drill.

Pupils read the text on p. 144.

One pupil pronounces sentences and other pupils say if it is true or false.

It can be so:

P1: Television is good for people's health.

P2: False

P1: Little by little, television cuts us off from the real world.

P3: True.

P1: Television prevents us from communicating with each other.

P4: True.

P1--------P2,3,4 (pupils ask questions after reading the text on p. 144)

Questions like these:

1.Is television doing a great harm?

2. What did you use to do before there was a television?

3. Does television encourage passive enjoyment?

4. Television is a splendid means of communication, isn't it?

5. Do you prefer watching TV or going to the theatre?

Pupils make up a dialogue using the words from this lesson.

Pupils answer the questions

Pupils say their opinion about the lesson with the help of smiles on the picture.

P1 put marks to pupils analyzing their answers.

Pupils write their home work.
