Открытый урок английского языка в 10 классе по теме: «Музыкальные течения и музыкальные направления»

Урок разработан с применением современных компьютерных технологий. Урок проводится в 10 классе, в качестве обобщающего к разделу «What is hot with the young generation?» учебник английского языка English 10-11 В.П.Кузовлев и «New Millennium English» - 11 класс О.Л.Гроза.

Так как урок является обобщающим, соответственно ставится цель урока: закрепление знаний по теме: « Молодежная культура» и умение оперировать ими. Главная цель включает следующий практический компонент: совершенствование практических навыков владения лексикой по теме путем привлечения дополнительного материала, развитие навыков восприятия речи на слух и навыков чтения с целью понимания основного и полного содержания, развитие навыков аудирования и говорения. Развитие ассоциативной памяти, внимания и быстрой реакции. Логичности и доказательности.

Решение практического компонента цели способствует реализации воспитательного компонента: создание условий для формирования у обучающихся уважения и интереса к учению, формирование потребности и способности понимать чужие точки зрения, достигать согласия и сотрудничать в условиях различия взглядов и убеждений.

Для реализации вышеперечисленных целей используется аутентичный и актуальный материал учебника, специальные технические, информационные и языковые средства; учитываются личностные характеристики учащихся: сообразительность, интерес, творческие и актерские способности, взаимопонимание.

На уроке реализуется принцип коммуникативной направленности и для его осуществления используются фронтальные, индивидуальные, парные формы работы.

Урок готовится в рамках тематической презентации, выполненной в программе POWER POINT .

Такая форма применения информационных технологий помогает четко выстраивать структуру урока, наглядно показывать этапы работы учителя и учеников, эстетически оформлять урок, делая урок живым и динамичным.

План урока

1. The beginning of the lesson Create an enjoyable atmosphere

T: Good morning, dear boys and girls! I'm glad to see you today. I hope you are fine and ready to start our unusual lesson - talk show. Today we are going to present some youth organizations. We'll try to understand why teens choose a subculture, how they express themselves and what music they listen to. Let me introduce a TV presenter Nat. She'll lead our talk show. So, let's get started.

2. « Brainstorming» Whole class

TV presenter: Hello, my dear friends. We are going to talk about subcultures. First of all tell me what subculture is. (The slide is shown in the presentation)

3.TV presenter: Could you tell me, how well you know these cultural groups. Look at the screen and guess what they are. (The photos are shown in the presentation)

4. Presentation of subcultures. Speaking

TV presenter: By the way, there are representatives of some groups at our show. Let's listen to them.

(Pupils present their subcultures. They demonstrate their clothes, music they prefer to listen to and books they adore to read.)

5.TV presenter:: OK. Explain, why have you chosen this subculture? What is easier: to join a group or to leave in? Why? Do you become different or stay the same when you join a group? (Pupils answer the questions)

6. TV presenter: Look at the screen. Do you know these celebrities? What do you know about them? (The photos are shown on the screen and described by the pupils)

P1: Marilyn Manson is one of the brightest representatives of Goths, he is a singer.

P2: Bob Marley was the superstar from the Third World. He was born in Jamaica. Rastafarian movement was growing. The Rastafarians believed that all black people would return to their homeland of Africa. Marley was interested in this religion more and more. Soon his records were more successful. The future looked bright for Bob Marley. But in 1981 when he was 36 he died from cancer.

P3: Elvis Presley is the legendary king of rock'n'roll

Priscilla was his wife and their daughter Lisa Marie. He loved them very much. But they divorced. People listened with shock, horror and delight to Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and, of course, Elvis Presley.

P4: Mc Hammer was born in Oakland, California in 1962. After school and college he joined the Navy but left to become a rap singer.

TV presenter: By the way, what is rap?

P4: Rap is a music style where the singer speaks or shouts the words in a strong rhythm. Soon everyone was buying his records. Everywhere in America you see his adverts for British Knights trainers or Pepsi - on TV, in the cinema, in the magazines. "It's Hammer time!"

7. TV presenter: Well, I want to know how well you know each other. Fill in the blanks in the sentences with the expressions from the box. (The task is on the slide)

8. TV presenter: What do you think about peculiar features of the groups? Are you for or against? Why?

(Pupils tell their opinions for or against subcultures. It is shown on the slide.)

9. The ending of the lesson.

TV presenter: By the way, Bill Clinton being a young man was a hippy. I hope you'll make your own choice. And it's your choice to except or not to except these youth groupings. In conclusion no matter what subculture you belong you try to do your best to become a good useful person for society. I think our talk show is over.
