The aim of the lesson: to enrich pupils' knowledge about school subjects. To develop pupils' skills in oral speech and reading. To develop monologue and dialogue speech. To consolidate new words and structures.To bring up pupils' interest to the language.

Visual aids: pictures, cards, a computer, diagrams and a diary, a clock.

The type of the lesson: group work, pair and individual works, question - answers

Procedure of the lesson.

I. Organization moment. Greeting, short conversation with pupils on duty. II. Phonetic drill. Come into the classroom, And say your name. Hand in your homework. Don't play a game! III. Warm - up. Match the words with the pictures. Basketball - 8 Maths - 4 Science -3 chess club - 5 PE - 7 Geography - 1 Art - 6 meeting - 2 IV. Vocabulary work. Listen and repeat. Basketball - баскетбол Maths - математика Science - ғылым chess club - шахмат үйірмесі РЕ - дене тәрбиесі Geography - география Art - сурет meeting - жиналыс o'clock - тура сағат quarter - 15 минут half past - жарты/жарым past - кетті to - қалды clock - сағат timetable - сабақ кестесі Information - информатика Technology - технология (еңбекке баулу)

V. Presentation. Grammar. Draw a clock face on the board and change positions of the clock hands toexplain the following words: o'clock, quarter, half past, past, to and drill their pronunciation. Listen and read the text, then write Rosie's activities in the correct order. 1. Geography, 2. … ,

VI. Listening a) Listen and repeat. French English Art History Physical Education (PE) Science Geography Music Maths Information Technology (IT) b) Listen and read Rosie's timetable. Group or pair work. Ask and answer questions about Rosie's timetable. - What time's Geography on Wednesday? - It's at quarter past one. Etc. VII. Consolidation of the lesson. Draw clocks showing these times. 1. It's ten to two. 2. It's quarter past six. 3. It's five past nine. 4. It's twenty to three. 5. It's half past twelve. VIII. Homework. Giving marks. The lesson is over.
