The Girl Who Cried Wolf

The Shepherd girl looks at the sheep. (Big pictures of sheep leaning on the back of the chairs.)

Shepherd:

Well, we are here. Go ahead and eat.

Sheep:

Bah… Bah…

She lies down on the grass and looks up in the sky.

Shepherd:

What a beautiful day!

She has nothing to do. She is getting bored.

Shepherd:

I'm getting bored. There is nothing to do. What can I do for fun?

Suddenly she comes up with an idea.

Shepherd:

Ah ha! I got it!

I will play a trick on the villagers.

It'll be fun.

She runs around shouting:

Shepherd:

A WOLF! A WOLF!

It's a wolf!

Please help me! Please save my sheep!

Villagers run to help the Shepherd.

Villagers:

What? Wolf? Where is it?

Yes, where is it?

Did it go away?

Shepherd:

Ha! Ha! Ha!

There is NO WOLF!

I tricked you!

Villagers:

What? You tricked us?

The angry villagers go back to the village.

Shepherd:

A few days later the Shepherd girl gets bored again.

Shepherd:

I'll trick the villagers one more time!

The Shepherd girl again runs around shouting:

Please help me! Please save my sheep!

It's a real wolf!

Villagers:

Shepherd:

I'm so scared. What shall I do?

A big Wolf starts eating the sheep. (He drops the pictures of sheep on the floor.)

The Shepherd girl runs around shouting:

WOLF! WOLF!

HELP! Please help me!

Come quickly!

Villagers:

Hello, shepherd girl.

Playing your tricks again?

You can't fool us again.

Shepherd:

No, PLEASE believe me!

Villagers:

Go along, girl.

Shepherd:

Boo-hoo!

Now no one believes me!

All my sheep will be killed! Boo-hoo!
