Тема: Travelling to world capitals

Задачи: способствовать развитию умения систематизировать и обобщать полученные знания.

Развивающие:

владение учащимися умениями монологической и диалогической речи

владение учащимися умениями понимания иноязычной речи на слух;

развитие творческого воображения и мышления;

формирование умения коллективного речевого взаимодействия;

развитие речевой активности;

формирование межпредметных навыков и умений.

Воспитательные:

формирование лингвистической и социокультурной компетенций;

умение аргументировать свою точку зрения с целью формирования единого мышления;

воспитание культуры учащихся средствами иностранного языка.

Задачи урока:

- повторить активную лексику урока

- тренировать произносительные навыки,

- развивать и совершенствовать навыки аудирования с извлечением необходимой информации,

- учить написанию письма

My (homeland, countryside, landmark) is Belarus. It has a long history. The name "Belarus" first appeared in official documents in the (13th, 14th, 15th) century. For many centuries Belarus was a part of the Great Duchy of Lithuania. It is also called " the blue-eyed" country, because of the (cornflower, red rose, maple leaf). This flower is the symbol of Belarusian fields. The population of our republic is about 10 mln people. Belarus is situated in the very centre of (the Russian Federation, the European continent, the USA).

Mogilev
Mogilev was mentioned in chronicles in the 13th century. The city was founded in 1267. A castle was built on the banks of the Dubrovenka River and people began to settle nearby. The castle was burnt in 1595 and archaeologists couldn't find any traces of it. First Mogilev was part of the Great Duchy of Lithuania. It was later held by Sweden and passed to Russia. Between 1941 and 1944 the city was under German occupation and the population of Mogilev suffered a lot. The Modern city is situated on the banks of the Dnieper. It is definitely worth visiting as it has a lot to see. Many of the old buildings have been reconstructed. One of the places of interest is the convent of St. Nicholas which is a complex of buildings set in a picturesque countryside.
