Обобщающий урок в 6 классе, 2 четверть, УМК М.З.Биболетовой, по теме «Животные в нашей жизни». Дополнительный материал для разработки урока был взят из учебника «Spotlight 6»(текст о Московском зоопарке). Были сделаны ксерокопии для каждого ребенка. По этому же тексту в итернете были найдены фотографии Московского зоопарка и животных, названия которых упоминались в тексте. Фотографии были выведены на интерактивную доску. Тип урока : обобщающий

Оборудование : проектор, ПК, интерактивная доска, раздаточный материал

( тексты для чтения, упражнения для словарной работы, карточки для аудирования)

Цели урока:

  1. активизировать лексические навыки по теме «Животные в нашей жизни»;

  2. совершенствовать навыки поискового чтения;

  3. совершенствовать навыки аудирования и говорения

Ход урока


  1. Организационный момент:

Good morning! How are you today? Let's begin our lesson.

  1. Фонетическая зарядка:

Yesterday there was a weekend. And I hope you had a nice time. So, let's read a poem and see how the children spent it:

1. Look and listen

I love Saturday

And Sunday too

The weekend is great

There's so much to do.

Let's have a party

And invite our friends

I'm so happy

I love weekends.

  1. Repeat line by line after me

  2. Read the whole poem

  3. What 2 things they can do at the weekend?

  4. Which of the activities do you like to do?

  5. What did you do yesterday?

  6. And if you live in a big city where you can go in your weekend

(theatre, cinema, sports centre, Zoo)


  1. Основная часть урока:

Now imagine that we have a chance to visit the Moscow Zoo. Would you like to do it ?

  1. Do you think what animals we can see there? (Look through the text and find them)

  2. What other animals can we see in the zoo?

  3. Are there any endangered animals?

  4. What animals can we see in the zoo: domestic or wild?

  5. What domestic animals can't we see in the zoo?

  6. Let's return to the Moscow Zoo: what animals can young children see? (Find and read the sentence in the text)

  7. Can you give characteristics of the following animals and birds? (Leopard, dolphin, bear, elephant, tiger, emu). Name them.

Please, find some other adjectives in your home text (exotic, colourful, white snow, Asian, Australian)

9. You have named many animals and other living creatures. Now, look at the board, use the pictures and describe your route around the Moscow Zoo. Say, what you are watching


  1. What would you like to visit in the Moscow Zoo? Why?

  2. Imagine that all of you are the director of the Moscow Zoo. What would you do as the director . Ex12 p.107

But today is Monday, so the Zoo is closed. And it's time to listen to the dialogue of two people who are working in the zoo.

I want you to open your books at page 117 Ex41

You can see the table and you will fill it in.

1.What can you say about people who work in the Zoo?

(They should be friendly. They look after animals)

2. Must they be attentive and kind? (Yes, they must)

3. Do they have a lot of work to do? (Yes, they do)

4. What do they do every day? (They feed animals, call the vet for sick

animals, repair the cages, look after baby animals, etc...)

    1. I think all of you have pets.

What animals do you have at home. What do you do for your pet?

And now write about any people who have these pets. At first, let's read the
