B) Работа над новой лексикой (7 мин):

  1. отработка произношения (3 м)

  2. упражнение rub out (4 м)

С) совершенствование навыков выразительного чтения вслух (13 мин):

  1. чтение вслух (5 мин)

  2. упражнение на восстановление последовательности (4 мин)

d) Анализ теста по пройденному лексическому и грамматическому материалу (7 мин)


III. Завершающая часть урока: (3 м)

  1. Запись и объяснение домашнего задания (1 м)

  2. Выставление и комментирование оценок, подведение итогов урока (2 м)





Ход урока:

I. Начало урока.

1. Приветствие.

- Good morning, students. I'm very glad to see you! Thank you. Sit down.

How was your day? Any pleasant moments of the day? Personally today I got an sms from my old friend. I was very glad to hear from her. Do you like the weather today? Do you enjoy playing snowballs? Do you like skating along the streets? What do you like doing in such weather? Who is on duty today? Who is absent today? What's the matter with them? I see. It's a pity.

2. Сообщение задач урока.

- Today we'll have a lot of things to do - we'll work with the new text and we'll try to correct the mistakes you did in your tests.

3. Фонетическая зарядка.

- So I'm very pleased with your knowledge of the words. Practically no spelling mistakes. But as for transcription we need to train it more. Do you agree? Open your exercise-books. First of all - let's revise some sounds. Let's recollect diphthongs. Seryozha and Nastya, come up to the blackboard. Write down the following sounds [eə], [Ɔi], [au], [ei], [ai], [əu], [iə], [uə], [з:] [α:] [þ] [Ɔ:] [e] [æ] [i:] [Λ] [u:]? Absolutely correct.

3. Речевая зарядка.

I like reading a lot. I enjoy reading about London. I want to read more about it. I've decided to visit it when I have the opportunity.

Well, do you often use vocabulary to check pronunciation of words? So you can read all the words correctly, can't you? Ok - if you want I can give you a very interesting task. I usually give it for the students of the 9th form - but I see you're very active and intelligent - do you want to risk this task? There is an English joke - that whoever can read this rhyme correctly - is a real Engllishman no matter where he or she was born. I'll give 2 fives to the one who will read four lines of this rhyme correctly. If you want - I can wait till Saturday - but you should read not four lines - but the one part of the rhyme.

Ok - now we'll see the pictures again and your task will be to recollect in what the text tells us about this or that place. First it speaks about … Let's do the same with the people mentioned in the text.

And now you are to say what places of interest are mentioned in part 1. Ok - now I'll read some phrases and you are to decide if they are used to describe the City, Westminster or Tower. Can you recollect the context?

Now let's turn to your tests. The results are not very good. So let's analyse the mistakes. Now tell me four sentences about yourself using these verbs. Your partner should agree. For example - I like reading a lot. I enjoy reading about London. I want to read more about it. I've decided to visit it when I have the opportunity.

III. 1. - Now put down your homework. Open your record-books. Part 1 by heart. Part 2 for test reading and know very well. Revise the grammar rules.
