"Eruditе - 2014 "

Цели: 1) повышение мотивации изучения английского языка;

2) активизация социокультурных знаний по теме;

3) развитие навыков аудирования, говорения;

4) расширять общий кругозор и эрудицию учащихся.

5) повышение познавательной активности учащихся;

6) развитие культуры общения;

7) развитие познавательного интереса к изучаемому предмету.

Оснащение: Компьютер с мультимедийным проектором и экраном, электронная презентация, выполненная в Power Point, листки и карандаши для жюри, для участников 3 раунда.

Правила игры:

В игре участвуют 8 учеников 9 - 11 классов. Игра состоит из 3 раундов. В каждом раунде ведущий (учитель) задает игрокам вопросы. После каждого раунда жюри подводит итоги: подсчитывает количество баллов за правильные ответы. После 1 раунда остается 4 игрока, набравших наибольшее количество баллов. Во 2 раунде определяются 2 участника финала игры. В 3 раунде побеждает игрок, набравший большее количество баллов. В ходе игры болельщики могут отвечать на вопросы игры, если участники не знают ответа. Участники должны выбрать все предлагаемые вопросы. Каждый правильный ответ на вопрос 1 раунда приносит 10 баллов, вопросы 2 раунда - 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 баллов. Стоимость вопросов 3 раунда тоже 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 баллов.

Ход игры

T: "Good afternoon! Dear guests! Dear friends! I'm glad to see you! Today we are going to have the quiz "Eruditе - 2014 "

We do hope that you know English well and our quiz is going to be a contest of erudite. We invited the pupils of the senior forms to have part in the competition. (Представление участников)

T: (To the jury): It's nice to see our guests! Today you are given a very important task. You are going to watch our game and help us to decide who will win. (Ведущий представляет членов жюри)

T: (To the audience): So, students, we've met to play an intellectual game. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will be the main object of the game - "Your game". The rules are very simple: you should speak English giving answers to the questions. Now let's begin our competition. We wish all the participants good luck!

The 1st round

During the first round each participant will be asked 3 questions about Great Britain.

1. What is the official name of Britain? (The UK of Great Britain and Northern Ireland)

2. Where is the UK situated? (on the British Isles)

3. What parts does the UK consist of? (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland)

4. What is the capital of Britain? (London)

5. What river is the British capital situated? (On the Thames)

6. What is the symbol of England? (the red rose)

7. What is the national costume of Scotland? (the kilt)

8. When do British people celebrate Christmas? (on the 25^th of December)

9. Where did most of the English kings and queens have their coronation ceremonies? (in Westminster Abbey)

10. What was the tower of London in the past? (It was a fortress, a palace, a prison)

11. What is the Tower of London now? (It's a museum)

12. What is the in the center of Trafalgar Square? (Nelson's Column)

13. What is Big Ben? (the bell of the clock)

14. What in Scotland Yard? (the police in London)

15. What in the town of Oxford famous for? (its university)

16. What is Wimbledon associated with? (with tennis championship)

17. What are the colours of the British flag? (blue, red, white)

18. What kind of state is the UK? (parliamentary monarchy)

T: The themes of the second round are: "One, two, three", "Mosaic", "Holidays", "Geography". Every theme consists of 5 easy questions. Every question can bring you 10 points. (Участники по очереди выбирают вопрос для себя, называя тему и номер вопроса)
