Тип урока: урок говорения и закрепления пройденного материала.

Оборудование: карточки с заданиями, карта США, картинки достопримечательностей США, проектор, флаги.

Ход урока

  1. Вступительная часть.

  1. Представление команд и целей урока.

T. Hello everybody! I hope you are very well. You can see a map of the USA on the board and many beautiful pictures (video file). They are not new for you. For some time we have been learning many interesting things about the USA. You've got to know

that the USA is the richest and highly developed country in the world. It stretches from coast to coast. Today we're going to concentrate on the different interesting facts about the USA. At today's lesson we are going to sum up the results of our work during our trip.

For this purpose we need two teams. Each team consists of seven players and a captain. Each team has its own desk with a flag on it. The teams will be given tasks. If the player knows the answer the captain should raise the flag. Only then the player can answer. For each correct answer you'll get two points and for an incorrect answer you'll get one point. The jury will keep the score and define the winner of our game. Good luck and let's start.

T. In the past only the rich people travelled for pleasure and education. But recently travelling has become less expensive and people have more money to spend. These days more and more people go abroad on holiday. So, let's organize a travel agency in our classroom.

T. Imagine that Mr and Mrs Ivanov have come to travel agency. They have 2 children of 6 and 13 years old. They'd like to arrange their holidays, have they got any attractive offers of them? - It's of course. Disney World in Orlando, the state of Florida. It doesn't need any recommendations, it's a wonderful place for both children and adults. Who wants to be Mr. and Mrs. Ivanov? I believe two travel agents are going to offer such an attractive place.
