Тема урока: The Environment.

Цели урока:

Образовательная: обобщить знания учащихся и активизировать употребление лексики по теме, расширить знания учащихся об экологических проблемах.

Развивающая: развивать коммуникативные навыки учащихся, познавательную и творческую активность, умение работать в группе, анализировать и делать выводы.

Воспитательная: формирование уважительного отношения к природе и ответственного отношения к экологическим проблемам, воспитание бережного отношения к природным богатствам, чувства любви к природе.

Задачи:

- активизировать лексический и грамматический материал по теме;

- практиковать учащихся в чтении и аудировании;

- развивать навыки устной речи.

Методы: коммуникативный, интерактивный, проектный.

Формы работы:

- фронтальная работа;

- групповая работа;

- парная работа;

- индивидуальная работа.

Тип урока: обобщающий.

Оборудование: интерактивная доска, презентация проектов учащихся, плакаты, раздаточный материал.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент. (Беседа с классом, психологический настрой на урок) 2 мин

T: Good morning, boys and girls! Sit down, please. Glad to see you. How are you? You are going to have an unusual lesson. We have a lot of guests. Let's greet them.

Now let's make a circle and greet each other. Say your best wishes. I wish you good luck! Thank you! Take your seats, please.

2. Brainstorming.(Мозговой штурм)3 мин

Now look at the blackboard, please. What associations do you have when you hear the word "Environment"?

Cl.: ecology, to protect the environment, pollution, water, air, land, problems, rubbish, plants, animals, danger, to throw litter, flora, fauna.

T: Right you are.

III. Аудирование. (Ученики смотрят видео фильм и затем обсуждают его)

What is the main idea of the film? Yes, you are right. It is the pollution of the environment. 5 мин.

IV. Checking of the homework. (Защита проектов) 5 мин

T: Some of your classmates made project work at home.

Aidana will tell us about land pollution.

V. Чтение текста. Составление диалога. 10 мин

Your task is to read the text individually and then to retell it to each other in pairs.

After that you will make up dialogues about your activities to protect the environment.

The Environment and You.

The environment is all living and non- living things that surround us. They are animals and birds, woods and forests, air and water, land and atmosphere. All this may be called natural resources. They are widely used for purposes of home industry and agriculture. As a result, the wide use of natural resources pollutes air, water and soil. Now it is becoming clearer than never before that our environment needs strong protection. We all should try to do our best to make air, water and soil clean. It concerns everyone who lives in our country.

VI. Group work. 10 мин. Творческая работа учащихся (создание кластера по теме: «Экологические проблемы моего края»). Ученики вытягивают картинки по данной теме и делятся на группы, согласно направлениям: «Красоты Бурабая», « Проблема загрязнения в нашем поселке» и «Мы за чистый край, под названием Бурабай».

T: Now you will make a poster about environmental problems in Burabai and make a presentation of your work in groups.(The 1-st group tells about our wonderful place. The 2-nd group- about pollution in our place. The 3-rd group- about their activities, how they protect the nature)

VII. Revision of grammar: Modal verb "Should". 5 мин.

T: We should save our nature!

What does modal verb "should" express?

P: It expresses advice.

T: Right you are: it expresses mild obligation or advice.

Can you give examples? Open your exercise books and do it in written form.

VIII. Evaluation. 1 мин.

Pupils give marks to each other. If pupils from Group 2 think that Group1 has worked very well they raise red circles, if they don't think so they raise yellow ones.

IX. Homework: to write an essay " Ecological problems of our town"1 мин.

X. Reflection. 3 мин.

T: Dear pupils, we have discussed very serious environmental problems. Please, come here and make a circle. I have a globe in my hands. Imagine that it is our planet- the Earth. Do you think we have achieved our goals? T: Have you understood everything at the lesson? What will you change in your behaviour?
