Тема: Merry Christmas!

Мета: - підвищувати мотивацію учнів до вивчення іноземної мови;

- розвивати навички діалогічного та монологічного мовлення;

- сприяти розвитку міжкультурної компетенції;

- продовжувати формувати навички сприйняття іноземного мовлення.

Обладнання: картки , магнітофон, костюми, відео

Хід заходу:

І. Організаційний момент.

Teacher: Good morning, children!

Pupils: Good morning! Good morning! Good morning to you!

Good morning! Good morning! We are glad to see you!

Teacher: Thank you! I am glad to see you too!

How are you?

Pupils: We are great! Thank you!

T: I hope you'll have a wonderful time together.

ІІ. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного матеріалу.

T: Guess the riddle, what season is it:

The snow is falling ,

The wind is blowing,

The ground is white,

All day and all night?

P: (all together) It is winter.

Основна частина:

Winter come into the room:

Winter:

I'm the season when mornings are dark,

And birds do not sing in the forest and parks.

I'm the season when children ski,

And Father Frost brings the New Year Tree.

I have three sons: December ,January, February.

P1: Chill December brings the sleet,

Blazing fire and Christmas treat.

January brings the snow,

Makes our feet and fingers glow.

February brings the rain,

Thaws the frozen lake again.

December:

December is the best of all,

Snowflakes dance ,

Snowflakes fall.

People see the New Year in-

When December ends it will begin.

January:

January brings the snow,

Makes our noses and cheers glow.

February:

February snows again,

And sometimes it brings us rain.

T: What holiday do English people always celebrate on the 25th of December?

P2: English people celebrate Christmas. Look, we have a snowman!

Snowman: I`m a little snowman

I`m a little snowman, short and fat,

Here is my broom-stick, here is my hat.

When the sun comes out, I cannot play,

Down, down, oh dear. I melt away!

P6:

Dance around the snowman

Come out and play.

T: - Let's play the game: match the picture and the word:

T: On the board we have some pictures and words and you should divide into two groups and match items in correct order. Діти виконують завдання , розподіляючись на групи. Вчитель перевіряє і наголошує, як треба правильно розташувати.

T: - Who brings presents on Christmas holiday?

P3: - Must be Santa.

P4: - Who's got the beard that's long and white?

Who comes around on a special night?

P: (all together)Santa Claus comes around on a special night.

P5: Santa Claus ,Santa Claus,

Come to our house.

Bring presents for us.

Christmas is near

Come quickly here!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

T: Children, let's listen to the song "Santa Claus is coming to town..."

Далі вчитель пропонує дітям розділитися на групи та відтворити події у пісні по порядку. На дошці висять картки і написано речення, учні працюють біля дошки. Вчитель перевіряє.

Далі діти разом виконують пісню "Santa Claus is coming to town..."

Після виконання пісні відбуваються різдвяні дива:

( It`s Christmas morning. Baby is asleep. Father Christmas is crying in the corner of the room and wakes the Baby.)

Baby: Hello! What`s your name?

Father Christmas: Father Christmas.

( Andy, Jan, Meg and Sally enter the room)

All together: Shh!

Baby: Look!

Children: Oh! Father Christmas! It`s Father Christmas!

Father Christmas: Yes, it`s me!

Andy: Why are you so sad?

Jan: Why are you crying?

Father Christmas: It`s Christmas!

Meg: I like Christmas!

Baby: And I like Christmas presents!

Sally: As for me, I like Christmas dinner best of all. It`s so tasty!

Father Christmas: I like Christmas dinner and Christmas presents too.

Meg: Then, why don`t you like Christmas?

Father Christmas: I`ve got a lot of work on Christmas Day and I haven`t got any presents.

Jan: Dear Father Christmas, come and have dinner with us.

Andy: Yes, come and have dinner with us.

Children: Hooray!

Baby: And here is a present for you!

Father Christmas: A present? For me? Oh, thank you!

Children: Merry Christmas, Father Frost!

Father Christmas: Merry Christmas, dear children!

P1: Merry Christmas to you!

P2: Merry Christmas to me!

P3: Merry Christmas to all our friends!

P4: Merry Christmas to school!

P5: And to our teachers too!

P6: Merry Christmas to everyone!

All pupils: And may God bless you!

( Pupils sing the song " We wish you a Merry Christmas!"):

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

And a happy New Year!

Teacher: Our party is over. Thank you for your attention. Good bye!
