Christmas Party

Цель мероприятия: привитие интереса учащихся к культуре стран изучаемого языка.

Дети входят в зал под музыку (английской новогодней песенки Jingle,Bells) и рассаживаются у наряженной ёлки.

Ведущий задаёт вопросы:

-Do you know the seasons of the year? What are they? (Дети отвечают)

Now guess the riddles about the seasons of the year:

• The sky is grey. The trees are yellow. I see much fruit and many mushrooms. The grass is brown. It rains. What season is it? (it is autumn)

• The sky is blue. The trees are white with snow. The sun is cold. Children put on warm clothes. They play snowballs and hockey. They ski and skate. It snows. What season is it? (it is winter)

• The sky is blue. It is not hot. The trees are green. The grass is green too. I see many flowers. I like snowdrops very much. I see small green leaves. Warm wind blows. What season is it? (it is spring)

• The sky is blue. It is hot. The trees are green. I see berries, green grass, fruit and mushrooms. Children do not go to school. They swim; play football, run and jump. What season is it? (it is summer)

Ведущий: What season is it now?

Дети: It is winter.

Ведущий:What winter months do you know?

Дети: December, January and February are winter months.

Ведущий: Is it January now?

Дети: No, it isn't.

Ведущий: is it February now?

Дети: No, it isn't.

Ведущий: What month is it now?

Дети: It is December now.

Ведущий: What is the weather like in winter?

Дети: It is cold. It is frosty. It is windy. Etc.

Ведущий: Do you like winter?

Дети: Yes I (we) do.

Ведущий: What do you like to do in winter?

Дети: I like to ski. I like to skate. I like to play hockey. I like to play snowballs.

Ведущий: what winter holidays do you know?

Дети: New Year.

Дети:Christmas.

Ведущий: We want to tell you about Christmas.

Выходят старшеклассники:

Americans and Englishmen celebrate Christmas on the 25^th of December. Christmas is a religious holiday and one of the happiest holidays of the year, because it is the day that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Some weeks before Christmas English people are very busy. They send greeting cards to all their friends and relatives. You can buy Christmas cards or you can make them. Many children make them at school.

People buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with toys, colored balls and little colored lights.

On Christmas Eve people put their presents under the tree. When children go to bed, they put their stockings near their beds or near fire-places.

At night Father Christmas comes. He has a big bag of presents for children. He puts the presents in the children's stockings.

In the morning they open their presents and then they go to the church. People wish each other a merry Christmas.

Let's sing a song "We wish you a merry Christmas"

Every year there is a very big Christmas tree in the centre of London, in Trafalgar square. This is a present from the people of Norway to the people of Great Britain. They send it to Londoners every year and Londoners decorate it.

In the evening before Christmas people like to come to Trafalgar square to look at the tree. On Christmas Eve the streets of London are decorated too.

For Christmas lunch people eat turkey, potatoes, and green vegetables. Then they have the Christmas pudding. At five o'clock it's time for tea and Christmas cake.

Ведущий: Let's sing a song for our guests. "Dashing through the snow"

(дети в хороводе поют песню)

После исполнения песни гости уходят

Ведущий: Let's play games now. "I see something yellow"

Дети все вместе произносят слова:

I see something yellow, yellow, yellow;

I see something yellow,

Guess what it can be. (затем дети по очереди называют по-английски предметы, которые могут быть того цвета, который был назван в стихотворении) a pear, a chicken, an apple, etc.

Ведущий: I see something blue. (дети снова произносят стихотворение с новым цветом и называют соответствующие предметы).

Ведущий: I see something white. Oh, it's a woman. It's a Fairy, it's a winter Fairy.

Winter Fairy: Good morning, children.

Children: Good morning.

Winter Fairy: I don't like colors. I don't like blue, red, yellow, etc. I like white. The sky is white.

Ведущий: Is the sky white?

Children: Oh, no. The sky is not white. It is blue.

Winter Fairy: The sun is white.

Children: Oh, no. The sun is not white. It is yellow.

Winter Fairy: The tree is white.

Children: Oh, no. The tree is not white. It is green.

Etc.

Ведущий: Children, Winter Fairy wants everything to be white. Is it right?

Children: No, it is not right.

Ведущий: Let's call Santa Claus to help us.

Children: Santa Claus, come here! (Кричат несколько раз)

Santa Claus: Good morning, children. I'm here.

Ведущий: Santa Claus, help us please. Winter Fairy wants everything to be white, it is not right.

(Санта Клаус прикасается к снежной королеве с каким-нибудь заклинанием)

Winter Fairy: Oh, the tree is green.

Children: That's right.

Winter Fairy: Oh, the sky is blue.

Children: That's right.

Winter Fairy: Oh, the sun is yellow.

Children: That's right.

Ведущий: Children, are you happy now?

Children: Yes.

Ведущий: Children, I see that the fur-tree is not bright. Let's light it up.

Children: Fur-tree, burn up, please.

(ёлка не зажигается, Санта Клаус шепчет что-то ведущему)

Ведущий: Children, do you know any words about winter?

Children: Yes.

Ведущий: Name them and the fur-tree will light up.

Children: Hockey, ski, skate, icicle, winter, December, cold, frost, snowballs, etc.

Children: Fur-tree, light up, please.

(ёлка зажигается)

Ведущий: Let's sing a song "If you happy" (под музыку «Если весело живется, делай так». Дети выполняют движения, соответствующие словам песни. (clap your hands, stamp your feet, turn your heads, shout O.K., go to sleep.)

Santa Claus: Oh, I'm tired. I want to sit down and I want you to guess riddles. Санта Клаус загадывает загадки и раздает призы.

Снегурочка: I want to play with you, too. A game is called "Snow". Игра со стульчиками. Дети (5-7 человек) произносят слова и стараются занять стул, количество которых к концу игры становится меньше количества играющих.

Snow is on the white grass

Snow is on the tree

Snow is on the houses

But not on me.

Santa Claus: Do you know any poems? Do you like to recite them? As for me, I like to listen to them. Дети рассказывают стихи.
