Тема - A Role Model.

Задачи занятия:

1. Изучить новую лексику, отработать её употребление в речи.

2. Тренировать у учащихся правильную артикуляцию и владение речевой интонацией.

3. Развивать навыки учащихся в аудировании, говорении, диалогической речи.

4. Развивать у учащихся языковую догадку.

5. Воспитывать толерантность, культуру общения.

6. Расширить кругозор.

Ход урока.

1. Оргмомент. (слайд 2)

Good morning, students. Nice to see you again. Today I have two assistants. Meet Professor and Vocabulary. Professor will give us some information and vocabulary will help us with new words.

2. Постановка целей. (слайд 3)

The title of our lesson is "A Role Model". Can you guess what it means? Учащиеся высказывают свои догадки и предположения.

Let' ask Professor. Professor explains: "The term role model means any "person who serves as an example".

Today we are going to talk about role models. Who is your role model and why?

3. Мозговой штурм/ фонетическая зарядка. (слайд 4)

Boys and girls Let's think what traits a role model should have? What should a role model be? Here are some ideas , look at the screen. Listen and repeat after the speaker.

generous - щедрый

modest - скромный

ambitious - честолюбивый

intelligent - умный

bossy - властный

serious - серьёзный

hard-working - трудолюбивый

lazy - ленивый

mean - жадный

quality - качество

to respect - уважать

Now look at the screen please. You will have a grammar exercise. Lets revise Past perfect Tense. Что такое Прошедшее Завершенное время ( действия, которые произошли к какому- то времени в прошлом)

Ok! That's right. look at the screen and put the verbs in the sentences in the right grammar forms.

3. Аудирование. (слайд 5)

Today we'll talk about persons, who are role models for many people around the world. They are: Bill Gates, Mother Teresa and Madonna. I'm sure, you've heard these names.

Who are they? Bill gates is a founder of Microsoft. He is a multimillionaire. Mother Teresa was a great person of her time. She helped the poor and the sick. What about Madonna? Is she popular in Russia? As you know sha had a big concert in Moscow last year.

Now you are to listen to the story about Mother Teresa and do some exercices.

Before listening, read the words and repeat after the speaker: founder- основатель, successful - успешный, charity - благотворительный, mission - миссия, nun - монашка, follower - последователь, Macedonia - Македония.

( ученики слушают текст и вставляют пропущенную информацию) you have 2 minutes to finish the task. Who is ready? Please? Come to the blackboard and do the first sentence. ( вставляем всю нужную информацию, переводим некоторые предложения)

I think you are a little bit tired. It's time to relax and watch the video . a pupil from the USA sent me a video about his role model. Let's watch it, be attentive, you should guess who his role model is.

Поскольку видеофрагмент является аутентичным, а не учебным, предъявить его необходимо 2-3 раза.

Now who can guess? Who is his role model? And why?

7. Говорение (диалогическая и монологическая речь) (слайд 12)

Now, it's high time to answer today's question. Who is your role model? Let's talk about it. You have papers with new words and a dialogues. Fill in the gaps and make up your own dialogues. You have some minutes to prepare them.

Учитель даёт все необходимые пояснения и инструкции на русском языке. Каждому ученику раздаётся листочек, на котором лексика урока и "скелет" диалога. (Приложение 1) Здесь можно делать пометки, а слабые ученики могут использовать его, как опору при ответе.
