Thomas Unbelievable.

(A play)

Scene 1.

(The disciples are sitting at dinner, eating. Martha is serving. She pours about a pint of nard, an expensive perfume on Jesus' feet and wipes them with her hair).

1-st disciple: Why wasn't this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It

was worth a year's wages.

Jesus Christ: Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a

beautiful thing for me. The poor you will always have with you? And

you can help them any time. But you will not always have me. She

did what she could. She poured perfume on my body to prepare

beforehand to prepare for my burial. My children, I will be with you

only a little longer, because I am going to my Father. You know the

way to the place where I am going.

(Jesus goes out)

Mark: The Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and condemned to

death. Three days later he will rise.

Scene 2.

Thomas: I don't realize where Jesus Christ is going. And how can we know the

way.

2-nd disciple: He is going to his Father, who is in Heaven. And Jesus says that he

is the way, the truth and thee life. No one comes to the Father

except through Him.

3-d disciple: He says that anyone who has seen Him, has seen the Father.

4-th disciple: He promises to send us a helper - the Holy Spirit.

5-th disciple: He will do whatever we ask in His name, so that the son may bring

glory to the Father.

6-th disciple: The only thing we should do is to believe Him and be obedient. As

the Father living in Him is doing His work.

Scene 3.

1-st disciple: It's a great grief that Jesus was crucified.

Mark: But he told he would rise from the dead on the third day.

(Jesus appeared)

Jesus Christ: Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Go and tell Gospel to other people a;over the world.

(Jesus disappears. Thomas enters)

2-nd disciple: Thomas, we have seen the Lord!

3-d disciple: Jesus is alive and He spoke to us.

Thomas: I will believe it only when I can see the print of the nails on His hands

and put my finger into the nail prints and hut my hand into the scar on

His side.

Scene 4.

(Eight days later Jesus disciples were again meeting together. Jesus appeared).

Jesus Christ: Peace be unto you. Thomas, reach out your finger and see my hands,

reach out your hand and touch the scar in my side. Don't be

faithless, Thomas, but believe without seeing.
