The theme: One thousand and one proverbs

The aims: 1. to enrich students knowledge concerning the

theme.

2. to develop their thinking and speaking abilities

and to consolidate the material with asking and

answering the questions

Equipment: active board, placards

The method: asking and answering

Teacher: Dear teachers and students you know that English language decаde lasts from 02.02.15 fill 12.02.15. The theme of our decаde is 20 years: Assemble of peoples of Kazakhstan. Through of friendship of the people of Kazakhstan we live in such happier country as our country. Students of the 9^th forms take part in this competition so they are three teams. If our participants are ready. Let's begin our competition. It consists of 4 rounds. After every round judges will marked and the best of them or who has not mistakes in grammar and on pronunciation who has right answers will become a winner.

First round is: Introduction

The second is: "Who is the quickest"

I will give you the beginning of the proverbs you'll continue it. 5 proverbs for every team

1^st team

1. A good beginning makes … (a good ending)

3. Where is a will … (there is a way)

4. All is not gold … (that glitters)

5. Don't trouble trouble … (until trouble troubles you)

2^nd team

1. East or West … (home is best)

2. Better late than … (never)

3. Handsome is as … (handsome does)

5. Rome was not built … (in a day)

1. Practice makes … (perfect)

2. It`s never too late … (to learn)

3. So many countries … (so many costumes)

4. Early to bed early to rise … ( makes a man healthy wealthy and wise)

5. The grass is always greener … (on the other side of the river)

Third round: "is check your mind"
