УРОК «Тайна Мистера Брауна»

Урок проводиться при изучении (повторении) PAST SIMPLE в 4-5 классах. На уроке применяется ролевая игра, в основе которой лежит модель некой реальной деятельности, что позволяет приблизить обстановку учебного процесса к реальным условиям порождения потребления в знаниях и их практическом применении, что обеспечивает личностную, познавательную активность школьников.

Цели:

Поддержка интереса к изучению иностранного языка.

Совершенствование навыков чтения

Активизация грамматики: времена Present Simple and Past Simple

Тренировка и совершенствавоние навыков диалогической и монологической речи.

Оборудование: карточки (диалог -опрос), карточки (выбрать время), плакат - схема (кабинет дядюшки), мешочек с жетонами.

Good morning , my dear boys and girls! Yesterday I read a very interesting story. It is a detective story. Do you like to read detective stories? Who likes to read detective stories? Do you like to watch detective films?

Ученики отвечают на вопросы учителя.

Today we will make investigation and help one young woman to find her uncle`s money. But first of all lets read the text about a famous English writer Agatha Christie and answer my questions.

Agatha Christie is a famous English writer. She was born in 1890 at Torquay Devonshire. Her father was American but he lived in England. He died when Agatha was 12 years old. She did not go to school. She got education at home. She liked to read. Her favourite writers were Dickens and Scott. She liked music and wanted to be a singer.

During the first World War she worked at the hospital. She began to write after her serious illness. Her sister wrote some stories and they were published. Agatha tried to write stories too.

She wrote her first detective novel in 1920. It was not successful. The novel "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd" made her famous. She wrote 68 novels, 17 plays and hundred detective stories. People like her books not in England but in other countries too and call her "The Queen of Crime".

Well and now lets act the famous story by Agatha Christie "The Jokes of old uncle". Look at this picture. This is Mr Brown. He died a week ago. He was avery rich man. He had one million dollars and left all his money his niece Mis Brown, but when she came to his house she could not find his money. The safe was opened and there was no money in it. Only some letters.

Lets make investigation. Look at this poster. It is the uncle`s study. Describe the room, please.(Один из учеников по плакату описывает кабинет Брауна).

Look there is a safe in the room. Can you open it? Take these cards. You see six sentences, choose the right forms, write down, take the first letters and fill in the table. You `ll get a word. It is a code.

And what is a code? It is "writer". We can open a safe but trere is no money in it. Who took money? Lets catch the criminal. He may be armed. Can you shoot well? (Ученики берут из мешочка по 10 жетонов. На каждом дана первая форма глагола. Ребята называют вторую форму и перевод.)

You shoot well and you are ready to catch criminal. The police could not find the money and Miss Brown invited famous detectives Miss Marple and Mr Poirot. ( Класс делится на 4 группы. В каждой группе детектив, повар, садовник , шофер, служанка. Детектив ,сильный ученик, ведет опрос и заносит ответы в карточку. Потом каждый детектив сообщает, что делал один из подозреваемых.)

Детективы выставляют оценки подозреваемым, ответы детективов оценивает учитель.

You see all the servants were busy and could not take money. Where is money? Million dollars! You `ll find answer if you read the story "The jokes of old uncle" by Agatha Christie.

На следующем уроке ученики узнают, чем закончился рассказ. Обязательно будут ребята, которые прочитают рассказ. Все дело в письмах ,которые оставил богатый дядюшка. А именно в марках на этих письмах. Каждая из них стоила целое состояние.
