Пояснительная записка

Занятие направлено на знакомство с лексическими единицами компьютерной терминологии, получения и закрепления знаний при работе с компьютером и Интернетом, развития умений, навыков в условиях решения учебных задач повышенной сложности.

Цель: закрепление лексики и речевых образцов в речи учащихся.

Основные задачи:

Образовательная: - активизация лексики и РО по теме «Компьютер в нашей жизни»;

Развивающая: - развивать навыки чтения, формирование навыков устной речи с применением выражений и лексики по теме;

Воспитательная: - вежливость в общении друг с другом, взаимное сотрудничество

Оборудование: интерактивная доска.

Сопровождающий материал: презентация по теме занятия «Computers in our life»: презентация представляет собой дидактический материал, сопровождающий урок английского языка для студентов 2 курса ГАО ПОУ «ЛИСК». Презентация направлена на расширение словарного материала в форме наглядных упражнений. Та часть презентации, где приведен диалог позволяет не только тренировать слова темы, но также вводит разговорные штампы (chunks of language), часто употребляемые в разговорной речи.




  1. The beginning of the class: a greeting word to students, marking the absentees.

  2. Warm-up: ask student to think about the most important item for the teacher on his table. Then if they can't guess what it is point at the computer adding the following words that nowadays we can't imagine our life without a computer. It helps us to solve a lot of problems. But still we may face some of them if we don't understand some computer words.

  3. The first stage of the class: showing the first slide: ask the students to name the picture and guess about possible topic for the class.

  4. Showing the theme of the class on the board (the date should be on the board at the beginning of the class), giving some time to read the goal and the explanations to the class (in Russian).

  5. Ask the students to do the first task: match the pictures to the words (all words should be explained by the teacher):Computers in our life

  1. Fill the gaps with the words from the box. This time ask students to explain the meanings of the words in the box as they are the same compared with the previous ones:

Ask any student to read the sentences on the board, translate them all with the help of the students:

When you want to find information on the web, it is helpful to use a _______________ such as Google or Yandex. To enter a secure site, you usually need to enter your username and a ________.

Then, give the correct answers asking the students to check themselves:

  1. Put the following computer operations in the correct order (The first part is done for the example):

Then after discussing the answers show on the board the right ones:

  1. Working with the dialogue: read the dialogue to the students that's on the board, then, from the beginning of the same dialogue, translate the all information in it.

  2. Ask the students to put down same words to be used a bit further:

speak, help, problem, crashed, cursor, switch, help, do, try, no.

  1. Ask the students to fill in the gaps in the dialogue with the words they've just put down (the dialogue is on the board with the gaps to be filled it)

  2. Complete the sentences with the words and phrases (explaining each of them, translate the sentences):

website, computer viruses, bug, emails, go online, crashes:

Nowadays you can _______________ if your brother is using the telephone line to talk to his friends.

Many people send and receive ________ rather then telephoning or using "snail mail" (letter post).

These days you can buy things on the Internet by going to the company's ___________.

Sometimes the computer ________ , and then it is impossible to use it. You usually have to switch it off and start again.

  3. Saying good bye, the class is over: asking them to stand up before leaving the class.
