Тема: Праздники (Holidays).

Цель: 1. Приблизить речевую деятельность учащихся к естественным нормам.

2. Помочь учащимся развивать навык общения.

3. Обеспечить практическую направленность обучения.

4. Закрепить лексику по теме «Праздники».

Правила игры: Для участия в игре приглашаются 5 учеников. В игре 4 тура. За каждый правильный ответ на вопрос ученик получает звёздочку (балл). По окончании каждого тура ученик, набравший наименьшее количество баллов, выбывает из игры. В финальном туре играют 2 игрока.

Ход игры.

Ведущий Hello! Welcome to the game "Star Hour". We are happy to have you here. Today we have the game with 6 players. These are:

1. Uaidilda Batyrkhan .

2. Daulbaeva Madina .

3. Gulmamedova Ayaulim .

4. Bazyak Natasha.

5. Shevchenko Dasha.

1 remind you of the rules of the game. The game has 4 rounds. A player gets star (point) for the right answer. After each round the player who has the least points leaves the game. Let's star our game.

Ведущий: Here is the task for the first round. You have the list of holidays on the poster. They are answers for the questions. Each holiday has its own number.

1. New Year Day.

2. St. Valentine's Day.

3. St. Patrick's Day.

4. Halloween.

5. Thanksgiving Day.

6. Christmas.

1. This holiday people celebrate on the 31st of October. The symbol of this holiday is "Jack o'lantern". People make it from a pumpkin. Children like this holiday parties, they put on witch's and ghost's dresses. They go "trick or treat". (4. Halloween).

2. It's a national Irish holiday. This holiday people celebrate on the 17th of March. They wear green clothes. People sing Irish songs and dance Irish dances. (3.St. Patrick's Day)

3. All British celebrate on the 31st of December. Most people see with friends and relatives. At midnight they sings the songs and wishes a happiness and health. (1. New Year Day).

4. On the 25th of December there is the greatest holiday of all in England. People send X-mas cards to their friends and relatives. People buy a fir-tree and decorate it with toys, coloured balls and lights. Children wake up early to find stockings full of small presents on their bed. (6. Christmas).

5. On the 14th of February people send special cards to someone they love. Usually they don't sing them - you must guess who sent cards to you. (2. St. Valentine's Day).

6. This holiday is celebrated only in America. But people in every country usually have great celebration in autumn (usually in November) to thank God and nature for a plentiful harvest. People cook for dinner of a turkey. (5. Thanksgiving Day).
