The title of the lesson: "What can we do to save the Earth"?

The topic of the lesson: "The environmental problems".

Форма урока: комбинированный урок

Цель урока:

совершенствование коммуникативной компетенции учащихся по теме «Проблемы окружающей среды».

Задачи:

Образовательные

  • Применить на практике лексику по изученной теме.

  • Практиковать обсуждение проблемы по данной теме в диалогическом и монологическом высказывании.

  • Закрепить лексико-грамматические навыки в контексте «Проблемы окружающей среды»

  • Тренировать навыки письменной речи.

Развивающие

  • Развивать умение учащихся работать с информацией, а именно извлечь информацию из услышанного или увиденного.

  • Формировать способность к языковой догадке, сравнению и формулированию выводов.

Воспитательные

  • Прививать чувство уважения и бережного отношения к окружающей среде.

  • Воспитывать у учащихся активную жизненную позицию.

Оборудование к уроку

1.Технические средства обучения:

компьютер, мультимедийный проектор

2.Программное обеспечение:

Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word, Internet Explore

3.Наглядные пособия:

Видеофильмы "Wonderful world", "Environmental problems".

4.Дидактический материал: карточки с фразам.

Ход урока

I.Организационный этап

Teacher: Good morning boys and girls. I'm glad to see you. How are you?

Pupils: Good morning. We are glad to see you too. We are fine.

Teacher: What's the news?

Pupils: No news.

Teacher: No news is a good news. Are you ready to start?

Pupils: Yes, let's start our lesson.

II. Мотивационный этап

Teacher: Now let's watch the first film. After watching the film you should give your associations.

Pupils: Beautiful forests, clean rivers, green grass, fresh air…

Teacher: Do you like it?

Now I'd like you to watch one more film and then give your associations again.

Pupils: Yes, we do.

Polluted rivers, cutting down the forests, a lot of litter…

Учащиеся просматривают два фото-ряда. Учитель может попросить учащихся записать фразы на листах бумаги и поместить их на доске в две колонки.


  1. Определение темы урока.

- Now let`s read the poem about the world written by a British girl, Miriam Mackley

The world needs a friend

To love and depend on

In times of trouble……

The world has hope yet

If the children let it

And if we do it right

Together we can make the world

A better place

Because the world`s best friend

Is you! (3 учащихся зачитывают стихотворение)

Teacher: -The world needs a friend

To love and depend on

In times of trouble……

-How do you think? Why is the world need a friend?

Pupil: - In my opinion the world needs a friend, because it has problems.

Teacher: -Yes, you are right. It has problems, ecological problems.

Teacher. What do you think what we are going to speak about?

Pupils: We are going to speak about environmental problems.

The theme of our lesson is "The environmental problems" .

The aim of our lesson is to learn to describe the ecological problems and ways of their solving.

2.Фонетическая зарядка.

Teacher: Look at the screen. Read the sounds and the words.

Pupils: [e] - environment, protect, protest

[l] - pollute, litter, less, collect

[r] - protect, forest, problem, prohibit, rubbish
[s] - solve, sea, recycle, plastic, spoil, solution
[k] - cut down, pick up, protection, container
[i] - ecology, environment, litter, region, river
[i:] - clean, people, keep, please, breathe, see
[v] - save, river, village, everybody, never
[w] - water, well, want, winds, weather, we
[t] - transport, trees, plant, a lot of, city, street

III. Учебно-познавательная деятельность.

Teacher: It's a wonderful world we live on. But now (стр. 120)Now tell me what ecological problems you can see.

- Global warming, pollution of air, pollution of water, killing animals, drop litter, forests are cut (слайд № 5,6,7)

1. Монологические высказывания по теме урока.

2.Работа с лексикой.

Teacher: Look at the screen again. Now you task is to finish the sentences.

Pupils: P1: We live in a beautiful world.

P2: We should fight against air pollution.

P3: We can help the environment if we plant trees.

3.Работа в парах. Диалоги.(стр. 1130

Teacher: What do you think? Can we help our environment? Ask your classmates.

Pupils: P1: What can we do to help our environment?

P2: To help our nature we can plant trees.

IV. Интеллектуально-преобразовательная деятельность.

1.Работа с фразами.

Teacher: I think people can help the nature. Do you agree?

Match the parts of the sentences to find out the solution of the ecological problems.

Pupils: Yes, we do.

P1:The environment would be cleaner if we took care of our planet.

P2: We would save animals if we plant more new forests.

-Well, we know that environment has a lot of problems, but what should people do to protect nature?

Make please sentences using "People should" and "People shouldn't".

P: People should

  • Create national parks

  • Pass antipollution laws

  • Recycle wastes

  • Display signs saying "Protect nature!"

  • Take care of nature

  • Reduce air and water pollution

  • Leave food for birds in winter

  • Save electricity and water

People shouldn't

  • Leave fire in forests

  • Smoke, take alcohol, junk food

  • Cut down trees

  • Drop litter

  • Kill animals

Teacher: Well all people should remember about this rules.

2.Работа в группах.

Teacher: Now I'd like you to make groups. The task for each group will be to write an advertisement for students from our school about organizing "A clean up day" at our school.

Учащиеся формируют группы и пишут объявления о проведении санитарного часа по уборке территории школы. Учащимся следует употребить как грамматические, так и лексические единицы пройденного материала.

V.Рефлексия.

Teacher: You worked very well at the lesson. Now I'd like you to say what you did successfully and what you liked at the lesson.

Pupils: I think we made sentences well.

I think we made good dialogues.

I like the film.

8. Домашнее задание (2 мин)

Teacher: Now it`s time to write your hometask. Ex. 60, p.55.

Write a script for a short video film advising people how they can try to save the Earth.

9. Подведение итогов, выставление оценок (3 мин)

-Today at our lesson we get 2 marks. The first mark is for the writing test and the second mark for your oral answers and activities at the lesson. Your marks are….

- Well, our lesson is almost over. We've spoken about ecology and the importance of keeping the environment clean. Pollution is getting worse and worse. But I'm sure that you're real friends of our planet. We all must do our best to keep air, water and land clean. I'd like to finish the lesson with a very beautiful song by Lui Armstrong "What a wonderful world"

Our lesson is over. Have a rest.
