Цели урока:

познавательный аспект: знакомство с культурой страны изучаемого языка;

развивающий аспект: 1. развитие навыков устной монологической, диалогической речи на основе услышанного или прочитанного;

2. развитие способностей самостоятельно применять полученные знания на практике, анализировать и сравнивать полученную информацию в соответствии с поставленной коммуникативной задачей;

Воспитательный аспект: 1. формирование представлений у учащихся о культурных особенностях страны изучаемого языка и

уважительного отношения к англоязычной культуре;

2. воспитание умения работать и общаться в коллективе, терпеливо выслушать мнение одноклассников.

Сопутствующие задачи: развивать умение понимать на слух англоязычную речь, закрепить НЛЕ (новые лексические единицы) и грамматический материал.

Формы организации познавательной деятельности - фронтальная, индивидуальная, хоровая, групповая.

Средства обучения: интерактивная доска, видеопроектор, программное обеспечение MS PowerPoint.

The Queen celebrates two birthdays each year: her real birthday is on 21 April, she was born on 21 April 1926. And her official birthday is on a Saturday in June.

Presents

Presents are opened as soon as the children are awake. They can't wait for the birthday cake later in the day!

The Cards

Friends and family send birthday cards. Sending birthday cards is a custom that began in England about 100 years ago.

The Party

The birthday child will have a party. Friends and family are invited. Visitors bring presents for the birthday child. The children play games such as musical chairs.

The Cake

The birthday cake is decorated . A candle for each year is lit and placed on top and the child blows out the candles making a wish.

The Bumps

It used to be traditional for the birthday child to have the bumps. Friends would hold the child by the legs and under the arms and lift the child up and down bumping them gently on the ground. The number of bumps is the age of the child plus one for extra good luck. As this can be dangerous, clapping is often done instead.
