Springs
Welcome to my hometown
I'm sure it's worth seeing
A few places can be found
With such wonderful and pure springs.
The water is tasty and clear-
You'll enjoy drinking it.
The song of a spring you will hear
One can't help admiring.
If you are tired you'll have a rest,
If you are sad you'll be given a hope for the best.
The spring is singing its lovely song
This song is dear to me.
As life itself it's eternal and long
It makes me believe in a dream.
Our life is poor without spring
They are the people's soul
And while the springs are singing
We love, believe and hope.
The Grasshopper and the Cricket
( John Keats)
The poetry of earth is never dead…
When all the birds are faint with the hot sun
And hide in cooling trees, a voice ill run
From hedge to hedge about the new-mown mead
That is the Grasshopper's. He takes the lead in summer luxury
He has never done with his delights for when tired out with fun
He rests at ease beneath some pleasant weed.
The poetry of earth is ceasing never
On a cold winter evening when the frost
Has wrought the silence from the stove
There shrills the Cricket's song
In warmth increasing ever.
And seems to one in drowsiness half lost
The Grasshopper among some grassy hills.
Потом все громче звучит его простая песнь;
Unfolding Bud.
One is amazed
By a water lily bud
Unfolding.
With each passing day
Taking in a richer colour
And new dimensions
One is hot amazed
At a first glance
By a poem
Which is as tight-closed
As a tiny bud.
Yet one is surprised
To see the poem
Gradually unfolding
Revealing its rich inner self
As one reads it again and over again.
Things.
Such lovely things to hear and see
Belong to you, belong to me
The sun, the trees, the grass, the sky
The silver Moon that's sailing by
Soft whispering winds, the birds that sing
Bright autumn leaves, gay flowers of spring
The rain and dew, and snow flakes white
The sparking waves, the stars of night.
Dreams
Langston Hughes (1902-1967)
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken - winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow
Daffodils
William Wordsworth.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er valleys and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils.
Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the ">Ten thousands saw I at a glance
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced, but they
Outdid the sparkling waves in glee;
A poet could not but be gay
In such a jocund company!
I gazed and gazed - but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought;
For oft , when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood ,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
Лишь облако меня сопровождало;
Он исполнял мечты, дарил блаженство;
